thanks for the tip.

I've gone underneath
and put some silicon grease on each of the bolts / nuts and threads to keep them rust free.

also yeah,
i'm gonna have to buy a spare socket/wrench to keep in the trunk as spare in case we ever need to jack it up

For those with the running board, I want to give you a "heads up"

I've I had my board installed for over a year now and everything is well but when I did my brake pads this weekend. I just realized something that may/may not affect you.

First off. Being in the NE, I did notice that the bolts are getting rusted. I would suggest maybe checking up on them every year.

Now for the issue. For the rear side step brackets. They are mounted very close to the jack point for the rear. So if you do have to use the factory jack for emergency and are trying to get the car up using the suggest jack point, you won't be able to. The bracket will have to be removed first.

great thread! I just bought a 2014 AWD Base model 2 weeks ago and this thread was excellent.

I purchased https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HLPSBL2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and it came with the flaps and was pretty much straight bolt on without any modifications. Watching the Youtube video (different type, also helped with install)

my review of it on Amazon:
good packaging - fast prompt delivery - item fitament was spot on for a 2014 Inifiniti QX60 base model with-out all those sensors (this item is for the Pathfinder) -- Amazon.com tool indicates it doesn't fit yet it does fit (the packaging box label says it's for 2014-2016)

I've read on the online forums that 2015 doesn't fit properly, but possibly the higher trim ones with lane departure sensors get in the way and one of the mounting brackets won't align as it gets in the way of that mount for running boards

also I didn't have the issue of having to 'cut' the mounting bolts nor drill bigger holes but i did message/comment the seller when ordering the item to let them know i had the 2014 model so that may have helped or the bolts have not been updated at the manufacturer

DIY is 2.5hrs to install with 2 people, no jacking up is required, just big old piece of cardboard, my friend did one side while i did the other.

Tip1: the big bars/brackets are labeled with P(Passenger) and D (Drivers) with C(Center), F(Front) etc...

Tip2: organize all the parts/screws/bolts ahead of time and label the bag with a note (10mm etc) and the install will go much faster -- i put them into those produce bags to separate the different sizes bolts / nuts / washers / lock washers by size
