Who makes your windshield?

I cracked my windshield and needed a replacement. Infiniti wanted about $1,230 for OEM windshield installed (w/ rain sensor and lane departure). Being that my deductible is $1,000, I decided to go to a highly recommended glass shop to have an OEE replaced instead for less than half. Low and behold, it was the exact same windshield that came with my JX. It was manufactured by Carlex. I took a peek as some of the JX/QX on the lot, and they also had Carlex windshields. Do any of you have windshields by other manufacturer than Carlex? Any that have windshields labeled with Nissan?

Just curious.

so you still have rain sensor and lane departure? thats an odd price gap...
You can always check with local shops that install windshields to see what they can source for you, it can possibly be far more cheaper than OEM

You mean the dealership wanted to make 2x the non-dealer price? No, i'm pretty sure it's not that odd of a price gap.

Do you have the cut outs in the top of the windshield for the lane departure too?
the dealership will always be more expensive both part and labor
If you can find another shop who can source you an oem windshield it might be cheaper.
My windshield just cracked, rock thrown from a tour bus while traveling through Louisiana. Uggg.
Was your replacement an OEM windshield? Yes, my replacement had all the cutouts for the lane departure and rain sensor. As far as I could tell, it was totally OEM.
The local glass shop (Glass Doctor) wasn't able to source the right windshield (with lane departure cutout). What's the name of your shop?

I guess I need to ask if they can get Carlex windshields.
I used a shop called Auto Glass on the Move. But I'm located in Northern CA in the SF Bay Area.

Thanks Geeman, unfortunately I wasn't able to find that store in DFW. I scheduled a visit to Safelite. They're charging about $475 (with Lane Departure cutout).
