Hello everyone,
I need a little help in trying to identify if I have a problem or if it’s a normal situation.
I just recently bought a 2019 QX60. After a rain storm I noticed water draining through a seam on the lift gate when opened.
It seems as if all weather stripping is in place but maybe I’m missing something…
FYI,
in the picture, there is a small hole in the area that looks to be a drain hole of sorts but no water drips through there.
It drips through the seam.
Can someone please take the time to shed some light, I’d greatly appreciate it.

This is normal for the second generation - mildly restyled liftgate. The plastic piece they added to the bottom edge of the lifgate somehow traps water from rainfall, car washes, and releases when you open the tailgate.
