Hey all. Just got my turn signal side mirror covers today. Tried them and they work. Great. Now... does anybody know how to take the mirror covers off. I tried to take them off by unsnapping it but the bottom part wouldn't come off. Felt like it was going to break so i stopped. Do I need to take off the mirror and unscrew something?

These look like the ones I've seen on e-bay, but didn't get to purchasing yet. Where did you get these from?

Also, I read somewhere that you would need to remove the actual mirror piece (somehow) and that you can access the tabs on the lower portion of the cover. But, I'm not sure how to you remove the actual mirror piece.

I did get them from eBay from Hong Kong I think. Tried them out and they work. Dropped them off at the dealership today to get them painted. Too bad they won't hook it up for me cause they're after market. The mirror does have to come off to get the cover off. Even the service guys weren't sure cause they haven't had to take it of a QX60 yet. To connect it I have to get the door panel off and snake the wires thru the rubber boot through the door and try to get to the hood. I plan on tapping into the turn signal line close to the bulb .hopefully that will bypass the Canbus and bcn. Ill take pics whenever I start this project.

Thanks guys, Thorin , the blinker is a bit more visible in person than on video during the day but I'll take it. I can put in brighter leds if I thought it would be worth the effort I guess. Yeller--I ve taken it past 90mph and didn't hear any wind noise. No problems snaking the wires except I wasted some time trying to snake the wire thru the side mirror to the door without taking the side mirror off completely and taking the plastic cover off the side mirror. Most of the time spent was taking the door panels off and the wheel well covers off and planning my wiring. No problems snaking the wire from the side mirror to the door and thru the boot that connects to the body of the suv. Behind the wheel well(drivers side) you will see a rubber boot, if you loosen that up you will see a bunch of wires wrapped up. This is where I snaked the wires thru to get to the inside of the cabin. I poked a small hole thru the boot with a clothes hanger and got thru to under the dash then I taped the wire and pulled the wire back out the outside in the wheel well. I tapped in directly to the turn signal wires. Drivers side was easy. Passenger side was a bit tougher to tap into because the wires there are so short and the washer fluid tank is in the way.
I'll answer any questions anybody wants to ask.
