I am new to this forum because we are looking to trade in our minivan for luxury crossover and the QX60 is on the top of our list because of it's size, styling, and its safety and luxury features. However, after reading many posts on this forum, the reliability of the transmission has me really concerned. I've never taken our 6 year old minivan in for any service other than its routine maintenance and I don't want to spend $50k+ on a new car that is constantly needing repairs. Since the transmission issues were well known in the 2014 QX60's, has the issue been corrected for the 2015 models? Consumer reports gave the QX60 the worst reliability rating. Is this really true?

hi I have to say NO I have a qx60 as well I live in nova. Scotia canada. We have one nissan/ infinity.in halifax .I purchaced this vehicle not doing my homework .I had it a few years now.i took it to the dealer after I purchased it to have it all checked over and to have a place to take it to I have all of its checkup and when I got the bill I almost fell over .that is when I was told it is a top end suv that is when I realized I made a huge mistake purchasing it ever SENCE I have been replacing parts .first was radiator than the fan .after that the transition started acting up .I took it to my mechanic for him to put it on the machine and low and behold I have a transmitting going .this vehicle has been a money grabber .I am so sick over this I can do nothing .i could put the money i have to pay on a transition i could get a new suv that does not suck up the money . I see a lot of people complaining about this issue .if they could only put it as a recall they may resolve this issue .but the word of mouth can do a lot of good and bad .
so if i had to buy again it sure would not be an infinity by Nesson high end vehicle all that is for hard working people just throw their money to infinity .it is sad .the vehicle is lovely and is loaded but loaded in all the wrong ways .good luck don't stop fighting for your money .infinity is a 2015.i have a ford and d dodge and do not have as much issues as I have a high end vehicle that is a JOKE

Was it acting up, have you noticed anything wrong with it (that’s why you took it on) or were you told there was all these thing wrong by your mechanic? How many miles are on it? Is your mechanic an Infiniti dealer? If not, I recommend you get a second opinion at an (or another) Infiniti dealer. If your transmission is bad, Infinity extended the factory warranty.
