Hi, I' am New to QX60 forum. I need some clarifications/suggestions on my qx60

took the delivery yesterday evening LiquidPLatinum/Graphite with following options (Premium, Premium+, Theater and Splash Guards/Bumper Protecor/Roof Rails) OTB - 47500 and took the 7/100,000 extended for 2299-- Is this reasonale or paid over?
1, It has 114 miles when I took the car - does this considered as Demo?
2, I overlooked when I took the delivery as it was after 8PM, today morning I noticed minor scratches under head lights? does dealer going to fix these

Thanks in advance for your advise

With 114 miles on it, I would be asking questions. Although I wouldn't mind if it had 14 miles since they probably had to put that on to transport it and do a PDI
My guess is that it has been there for a few months and has done a decent amount of test drives. All of the scratches should be taken care of through the detail department, but if it was dark they may have gone fast, so you should be able to have these taken care of. I have never seen a demo with under 1000 miles at my dealership, so I doubt it will count as one. I have seen multiple dealer trades with over that amount of mileage that are considered new still. Hope this helps.
I agree... 114 seems a bit much IMO.
1. As for extended warranty, you can shop around with other Infiniti dealers but what you were offered was cheaper than what I was offered from my dealer (From DFW area). We were offered $3159 for the same time/miles with an additional $600 off but passed on it as we felt we could get it cheaper from another dealer.
2. You should call your dealer ASAP to see if they can do something for you on that. Longer you wait the chances of them fixing it on them gets slimmer. BOL!

seems like you're getting mixed reactions on the 114 miles, but IMO, i don't think that's anything to worry about. i've taken delivery of cars with anything from 3 to 350 miles (although that 350 was on a dealer trade...take that out and the range is 3 to 210...ironically, it was the vehicle that had 3 miles on it that proved to be the most troublesome (a 2002 nissan maxima)). my take on it is that it if it's on its first tank of gas, it's all good.

i would definitely have the scratches taken care of by the dealer.
I would not be concerned about the miles. As to scratches, call them ASAP and ask them to fix it for you, no charge.
If they give you a run around, explain to them that you will be referring to this as an open concern during the survey but use that as your last option. I feel car buying has come a long way in the last 15 years with mutual trust shown by both parties and my infiniti purchase has been the most collegiate to date (they trumped Mercedes and a boutique / specialty car dealership experience). Talk to them, it should be easy enough...
Cheers!

I love these posts from people saying 100 miles is WAY too much for a car. WTF do you think they were doing, hooning your QX60? Doing donuts in the parking lot? Drag racing a mom in a minivan?

MAYBE the car was driven for a test drive with some family, but still, what could they possibly do that you won't be doing in the next week or two? Realistically, there's a pretty fair chance the car came to that dealer through a dealer trade (we do this all the time, especially with QX60's these days). So some retired guy drove the car from one dealer to your dealer. Or maybe the dealership has storage lot a few miles away (like my dealership). A few trips back and forth to storage can easily rack up 60-70 miles.

New cars rolling off the truck typically have 10-20 miles on them.

There are dealerships out there that give you plenty of reasons to be wary of things they do/say, but 100 miles on your car is not one to get worked up about.
haha, Sinecure I like your style....

I picked up mine with 149 miles... and yes it went thru a trade with a dealership 90 miles away, and I was a little worried that putting 90 freeway miles on a brand new car during break in period might do some harm... but it's all in my head... the car is solid and mpg keeps on getting better and better!

unlike my bimmer 328i, which I picked up with about 10 miiles (special order, no test drives or trade) but it had been to the service department for over 20 times in less than 1 year... basically just a garbage lemon from Germany.... argghh.

LOL. 25 miles on mine (dealer trade). But who cares? I often buy used cars anyway.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
Yes it was a dealer trade which he got it from other dealer 25 mil distance. so if we calculate it has around 85 miles on it when he make a deal with him. He's fixing scratches on it now..
Can anyone please let me knnow how much its going to cost first 2 years Maintenance?

Once again Thanks for your reply

njexpress -- No not from NJ area so I think this not the one you Test drove. btw I'am from DC area
My dealer doesn't do test drives of new cars, they have test vehicles which they give out. I even got to take a used JX home for the night to try out for about 100 miles.

Mine came from another dealer, and there were 50 something miles on it when I took delivery. It had quite a few scratches and even had a paint chip from someone opening the door into a wall. Oh well, not the end of the world.

Now, if only I could get some light out of the headlights!!!
for sure they were drag racing minivans in the parking lot
