Should I wait for 2015 model?

Considering to buy a QX60 because you do not have too many choices if you prefer a 3 rows SUV with space.

Current deal of 2014 model is not bad. The car I'm looking at is 43278 while the MSRP is 49690. I even haven't tried to negotiate with them.

But the transmission problem is really making me hesitate and from some posts in this forum it seems Infiniti hasn't figured out the root cause of it.

So shall I wait for 2015 model? I noticed that there is a change with CVT on 2015 model. (Enhanced D-step shift logic added to the electronically controlled continuously variable transmission). Not sure if this will fix the shudder problem that some owners have complained.

I don't think there is much of a difference if any between the 2014 and 2015. Regarding the CVT I believe its personal preference on my type you like. Test drive both of them and see if you notice a difference. I would say to go with a 2014 since you may be able to get a better price.
I had to go through this as I bought my QX60 late September. I went for 2014 cuz the differences is so minimal...pretty much color changes.

Any news if the added LED DRL's on 2015?
If you want to pay more, wait for a 15. If you want a deal, go make it this weekend.

The new "logic" on the transmission has probably already been "installed" into your '14. They just didn't get the marketing department to come up with a cool word for it to put on the window sticker.

i actually felt they could have done more to set the two apart, but i guess they felt they did enough to make the tow different.
I'm in the same position, my wife likes the QX60 but I'm a little hesitant bc of all the transmission problems that I have read on the forum. Wish there was a part number on the tranny that I knew to stay away from.
So if you count, how many transmission issues have been reported? People complain when something is wrong, and often, so put things in perspective. The cvt has a long warranty on it and if you are really unlucky, there is at least one person who got a lemon law buyback. If you like it, go for it. No car is perfect (I replaced a transmission on a Cadillac twice, myself ... talk about junk

You are right every vehicle has its problem.
Like several before me have mentioned, there isn't many differences between the 2014 and 2015 models. Right now is actually the best time to buy if you're still contemplating. Towards the end of December and January, dealerships are marking down and offering lease deals to move their 2014 inventory off the lot to make room for 2015 models. Just check out these new 2014 models their prices and the current incentives at a dealership from Arizona: 2015 Infiniti QX60 - Crossover for sale | Mesa, AZ
