A remote from the dealership will be very pricey. I would assume you got a base model if it does not have remote start? You always have the option of doing an aftermarket one as well.
no it's not a base they told her that they sell as an option I would not put aftermarket remote on it had nothing but problems with the old car it had two different ones installed from large electronics store
The Premium Package for $1550 which includes a host of other thing includes the remote start. I guess you didn't get that in your vehicle?

Here's what comes with the premium package: Thirteen Bose® speakers; Audio system includes in-dash DVD; DVD/VCD; Entertainment display screen located in front includes DVD; Bluetooth® includes music streaming; Memorized adjustment: includes two driver settings, door mirror position and steering wheel position; Smart card/smart key with memory seat and radio settings on memory steering wheel; Driver front seat memorized height, power lumbar and memorized tilt; Steering wheel; Driver and passenger door mirrors; Remote engine starter

If you don't have those features, then you don't have the package which to me would mean you either have to now pay up for Infiniti's remote start 'a la cart' or go aftermarket.
Yes, if you have the premium package, you do have the remote start already on the vehicle.
I have the premium package and I hear you can bypass to be able to use DVD in front screen is this true? I did this in my other car and the bypass gave me issues.

You can still buy a brand new Mercedes that still requires a physical key to be inserted into the column to start the car.

Yes, you can bypass the nav via a number of different ways. The easiest is with a plug/play box (search for nav bypass on this site), the other is to wire the bypass with a physical switch (pics and wiring are available on this site).

The plug/play comes with a remote to activate. I went this route and haven't had any problems.
