Recently, my JX35 broke down. Rear subframe / crossmember corroded and broke. I live in Chicago area where they love to trow salt on streets like crazy. I hate it. I called a couple mechanics for a quote, but they didn't want the job. So i decided to attack this project myself.
-2019 subframe
-new shocks
-new control arms ( upper & lower )
-new sway bar bushings and links, new rear backing plate with new brake shoes and hardware. Total $800 + $100 alignment + my time.
Yes, it can be done without lift!

Thank you. Just under 148k. I live the car. I got a lot of parts from Infiniti dealer online store, local pickup. much cheaper than aftermarket. And the subframe I got form local junk yard for $145 ( 2019 pathfinder)

Wow. Amazing job. Congratulations.

I agree with Mtech, spray out the salt and get it undercoated. Unfortunately undercoating won't help other parts that are already rusted, but it should stop it from getting worse.
