Does it do it all the time while driving on I'm assuming bumpy roads? How the heck can't they hear it yet you do, are they on overly flat roads? It may be worth reaching out to infiniti customer service. They will most likely take your info and story about how the dealership isn't willing to investigate it at all, even with the video/audio and have a regional rep/manager get in touch with you. The number is 1 (800) 662-6200.
My rear backup camera was faulty when I first bought my car. It would gray out or be fuzzy but only intermittently. Infiniti dealership said the same thing, they wouldn't repair it unless they saw it happen. So the next time it happened, I took videos with my phone and emailed them to the dealership. Again, they said to bring it back in, they have to see it happen before they would take care of it. I brought it in, and of course it didn't happen. However, my service writer went to get a mechanic and sat him in my car. I made sure he stayed with me until it happened. They said they had not seen this problem in this vehicle, but the camera was faulty and was replaced. I have a wonderful dealership and go to the same service writer each time. They took very good care of me.
Thank you for the number.its just easier to set it up for the lemon law.but I will make one call. My experience is they just concede to the dealer. It does it randomly all the time but of course it has not done it for the dealer. I videotaped my hand reaching up and stopping the sound. How more specific can I be?
have you been going back to the same dealer?
if so, i would consider checking out a different dealer to see what they would do .
What was the problem with your Acura in the end?
Here is the latest. I did call the number for Infiniti consumer affairs. They called the dealer and told them he has six videos take the headliner down. So yesterday they took the back headliner down and put padding up there. They wanted to drive the car further. So my rep called today and said they finally heard the sound and it's coming from the sunroof rack. They are taking the headliner all the way down and are repairing it. Infinit consider affairs rep calle and I told her this is a new car and the headliner is white so don't give it back to me with fingerprints all over it. She is staying on it. Nose thank you to the person who said to call them. The dealer did nothing until she got involved. Nth is is day 7 without my brand new car. As far as the Acura went I always thought it had something to do with a cable in the roof. They never found the problem and the car was in the lemon law when it was totaled by a tow truck. I was not in it luckily. I thought it was a fitting end for The Acura. It was the biggest piece of junk. You just cannt buy a well made car anymore.

Glad to hearing calling ha a helped. Often calling the customer service center for car companies gets nowhere fast but I must admit, Infiniti corporate is rather good at trying to help the customer when they experience a problem and need more help then their dealership may be willing to provide. Hope it gets fixed and you can move on enjoying your new vehicle.

Reason why no matter what I try all levels of the company.
We'll the car is back after 7 days. They did eventually hear the sound and determined it was coming from the sunroof rack. They claim when they took the headliner down there was a mismatched elongated screw hitting the roof of the car. I am hearing a faint metallic sound now so whatever they did has just changed the noise and not stopped it totally. May take some time to determine wage the there is still a problem. Will keep this updated for people in the same mess. I have nothing nice to say about the dealer Infiniti of Cocoanut Creek. So buyers beware.
It sucks that I keep seeing these bad dealer reports on here, another reason to keep your dealer options wide.
So here is the sad end of the stor. The car has started to do it again.took it back to the dealer.they kept it two days and did not touch the car. Infiniti consumer affairs is a joke and the dealer is disgraceful. Lemon law here we come
