Fellow members with Weathertech mats,

I just wanted to chime in and see if you have the same problems that I have.

My second row mat is lifting on the edges causing passengers to trip over when caught with the floorliners.

I contacted customer support and send the pictures below to them but they say this I just need to lay my mat down in the sun to re-shape it and my mat isn't defective in anyways.. I just want to see if you have the same issues that I have and what you have done about this.

Regards,

I actually bought a polyurathae front lip for a car of mine and the company i bought it from sent it to me folded up in 3 parts, after leaving it out in the sun for a few hours it formed to its natural shape.

I'd say leave it out in the sun for a few hours and see how that goes.

I have only had mine a few weeks now (bought them for both my QX60 and the wife's Q50) and they lay just fine. For the price though they should. Of course here in sunny CA our inside car temps get high enough to just about melt it so....

Did you try the sun thing? Did it work?

Sinecure: I baked it under the sun for a couple of days, it was acceptable but still lifting on the edges. As of today, the edges are all lifted. So i guess I have to velcro it down to hold it in place or cut the edges that covers the plastic part and just have the mat protect the carpet.

Poor design if you would ask me. They should have made the edges heavier / thicker to make them stay in place.
