thats a lot
IMO i don't think extended warranties are worth it. If it was up to me i'd pass.
IMHO: you don't buy a Nissan with open concerns on reliability. Some folks prefer that insurance policy, some don't....
In any case, your quoted numbers are definitely on the high side...
Cheers!

I would not consider it either without the CVT issue. Thanks for the information.
Hello all, new here. I purchased a QX60 AWD hybrid on 23 Feb, and obtained an extended warranty through USAA Extended Vehicle Protection -- it's good for 72 months or 100,000 miles. It is a bumper to bumper warranty that picks up after 4 year factory warranty expires. This plan has a $0 deductible, and it includes a rental car, and 24 hour roadside assistance. If I'm on a road trip, it also includes hotel and meal expenses. I paid $1320 for the plan through USAA. The USAA plan is through Assurant Solutions, and is referred to as their "Comprehensive Protection Plan"
The best quote I got for a QX60 extended warranty (Infiniti's Elite Protection Plan) is $1820 (84mo/100K miles) with a $100 deductible. Got this quote from 'Infiniti of Scottsdale'. This is valid for a new/pre-owned QX60 that has less than 6K miles on it. I'll need to call warrantyninja.com and see what they can find. I was told by the dealer that you can buy the 'Elite Protection Plan' from any dealer and can take the car to ANY dealer for repair. Let me know if you guys found any better deals.
I've purchased 3 extended warranties (Infiniti Elite Protection Plan) with zero deductible for my last three vehicles. I only used it only once on my 2008 G35, and it probably paid for itself with that one service call. With my first two plans I purchased, I received a paper protection plan in the mail from Infiniti. With the one I purchased on my QX60, I never received anything in the mail. I went back to the sales department and asked them about it, and they said you no longer receive an actual plan, that you just use your sales receipt from the time of purchase. Has anyone received anything in the mail for the plan you purchased?

$1820 sounds like a good price. I just paid $2800 for the 360 protection and with Elite Plan (84mo/100k) I decided to go with the 360 because I think that will pay for itself with the Northeast weather. I didn't buy a wheel plan with our BMW and it cost me over $1K out of pocket last winter.
extended warranty is something i would consider if this was a long term vehicle for me but seeing how many issues people have with it and how bugs get worked out as years go on, i think i'd rather sell it in 4-5 years, get a new one and keep that forever.
So, will Infinity USA sell me a plan or does it HAVE to go thru a dealer?

i'd say call Infiniti USA, if they can't then you can always walk into a dealer.
infiniti Warranty varies depending on the milage of your car.
0-6000 miles is one price, 6k to 12k is another price.
Cheaper to get it when it's low miles.
