Has anyone experienced this engine code? The JX35 is in limp mode and won’t drive over 30mph.

Trying to find and replace the sensor as a first option.

I was able to resolve the issue for now.

I found a new sensor at a upull junk yard on a 2010 Nissan Maxima. See the image with a list of sensors that will work. Most stores want 150 to 200 for this basic hall sensor. The junkyard changed me $8.20 :) NOTE: on a Maxima the sensor is located behind the starter (kinda sucks). Some sensors plugs have a 90 degree bend while others don't. This doesn't seem to make a difference.

Finding the sensor on the jx35 took a few minutes since the transmissions have changed in recent years. You need to remove the air cleaner box first. The sensor is near the engine block directly under some 1 inch hoses. On newer models (qx60) the sensor is behind the driver's side wheel after removing the plastic cover.

A number 10 socket is needed to remove the sensor bolt. Twist and tug to get the sensor to come out.

I then used an Android device and wireless OBD2 adapter running the Torque app to reset the engine fault. Note: I suspect I could have reset the fault code to restore normal operation but I had already changed the sensor.

The jx35 runs perfectly now. We'll see if it stays that way.

Acts like it’s stuck a 4th gear when driving from a stop. Super slow to speed up. Actual stuck gear changes over time.

Infiniti replaced the transmission. Feels like a new car. They did it free of charge since I've had it there so many times prior to my warranty wearing out. I'm totally shocked but Infiniti came through on this one. I did open a case with Infiniti consumer affairs...not sure that helped or not but issue is resolved for now.

Thanks for the update and congrats! I'm getting the P0725 code and am hoping it's the speed sensor. The car is at 213k so I doubt Infiniti would be willing to replace the tranny. I hope the sensor will fix the shifting issue.
