Official pricing details for the two QX60 models have yet to be released, but the new car was officially confirmed by Infiniti to be available late this summer.

The only pricing detail confirmed is the 2014 QX60 Hybrid will be available with an MSRP of $3,000 more expensive than the regular model.

More details should be announced closer to the release date.

Never expected the QX60 to be priced too far away from the outgoing Infiniti JX. Even the mark up for going Hybrid isn't that bad either.

They need to develop a DCT transmission for the QX60 and announce a release date for it, I'd like to see a DCT transmission QX60 become available for the 2015 model year, best way to boost efficiency in the QX60 hybrid and non-hybrid.

exactly it's just going to be a small price hike, nothing much, can't be more than $800 - 1000 over the current JX35 MSRP. there's no way infiniti can justify anything more than that,
I would love a DCT. I would pay an extra 1000 dollars for that option.

from what it seems JX owners don't care too much for it, seems like people with sporty cars are more likely to pay more for DCT rather than owners of SUV's and Crossover's.

With monthly financing, an extra $1000 for DCT would hardly break the bank.

and considering there are packages for this car that exceed the possible extra cost for DCT, anyone buying infiniti should have NO problem paying that extra thousand.
I'd be very surprised to see hybrids show up anytime in "summer". Unless October is summer. I suppose there's a small possibility they'll show up before September 21 - which would technically be "late summer" - but October looks like a much more realistic date. Last I looked, hybrids will be built in September. Unless your dealer is in Tennessee, you're most likely looking at early fall.

Looks like summer has come and gone, as you predicted, with no hybrids in sight. Does it still look like an October release? The car is for my wife who does a lot of city driving, so I'm still thinking it makes sense to wait for the hybrid. Given her driving patterns, I'd expect to get at least +5mpg with the hybrid.
I have a number of customers anxiously awaiting the hybrid. Hopefully we'll see some next month, but November may be a better prediction.

From what I've heard, if you don't want a fully loaded one, you're probably waiting until December or January. I haven't looked through the list of cars we have inbound, but from what I've been told, they pretty much all have the full complement of options.

Personally, I'd really like them to build a bunch of Prem 1,2, plus Driver's Assistance models. Lately all the QX60's with Drivers Assistance have also come with Theater. I know there are plenty of people who want theater, but more of my customers would prefer the car w/out it.

I don't say it to customers, but I think the current state of the Theater option is a joke. Who buys DVD's any more? And for how much longer will you even be able to get them? It's like buying a car with a VCR in it ten years ago. Sure, you can jack in some other source through the RCA jacks, and having a 110 outlet is a nice feature, but if it were my money, I'd buy the kids a couple of iPads to leave in the car, and let them spend a bunch of money in the iTunes store buying movies.

At least you're one of the more honest sales guys out there, and even going to lengths to provide us with some information from behind the scene.

I always thought DVD systems were so early 2000's. Now it's all about storage devices, I feel it will be like that for a long time to come because what can really replace it?

Thanks so much for the post. I've actually already put in my request to my local dealer, looking for exactly what you described (Prem 1/2 and Drivers Assist). Frustrating that I may not see a model I like until early next year. Starting to question whether or not I should wait. I'd love to know the city/highway breakdown for the hybrid. I know it's 5mpg more total, and I'm assuming a good bump in the city numbers, but knowing the breakdown would help make my calculations a bit more concrete. Right now, I'm assuming it'll take about 7 years to make up the $3k premium, but if the city number is higher, then that break even point may come sooner.

And I totally agree about the Theater Systems. I don't even have a DVD player at home (stream everything) so why would I commit to one in a car for 10-12 years. We're going to buy iPad minis for the kids and call it a day.
So much for "late summer."

Can car manufacturers ever stay on schedule? Being an auto enthusiast is a constant state of anticipation.

First it was pushed back to October, and now I am hearing November. I wouldn't be surprised if December and January are floated next.

What's the problem? An update would at least be nice.
don't know why it keeps getting pushed back that much it ashould be too hard to have it all in. Maybe they have their hands tied with another project.
I just heard today that hybrids are getting built next month. That means we'll see them end of November, early December, if that's true. Remember to read my signature after this post. I'm not lying, but I may well have been fed a line of bull.

Yeah they have been at the issue for quite some time. I know it's been over 4-5 months already. I think the issue was the torque converter
Guesses on mileage?

Anyone have guesses on the EPA mileage for the hybrid when it comes out? My guess is somewhere around 25/29, but would love some insight if anyone has any.

I'd guess something like that, with a combined number of 26 or 27.
