We have been searching for a 7 passenger car and I ran into the QX60 on a used lot. That lead me to check it out at the dealership. Similar to other threads, I need some advice.

a) It appears that the QX60 2014 (and older) suffers from minor issues similar to other Nissan. Is the 2015 any better?
b) i am working on a 2014 left over with Premium, PP, Driver Assist, 52.5K, lease price 46.5K (1700 down, 53% and MF .00024), 39 months, $523/m. I am not sure this is a good or bad deal on a left over 2014. Comments? (good thru today, I am sure it is still good).
c) from the above, what can i negotiate.
d) As this is my wife's car, i can't trust a used, but it it worth going with the used 2014 with 10-20K miles for significantly less? (not CPO nor dealer used)

any help you can provide would be useful.

(We are looking at the GMC Acadia, price is similar, but a lot cheaper looking. Ford Explorer is being redone in 2015, so that is no longer an option. )

thanks.

The biggest issue we've seen is a problem with some of the late 2013 and 2014's having a transmission shutter problem. If you search this forum you'll see quite a few discussions on this problem. Other than that, the car is pretty nice. If you decide on on this vehicle, I'd check to see if the car had the shutter problem or if the transmission has been replaced with the latest transmission.

There apparently is a class action suit against Nissan for the transmission problem with the Pathfinder. Here is the link to that item: Nissan Faces Pathfinder Transmission Defect Class Action Lawsuit

Best wishes.

Some great deals on 2014s in Boston area. One dealership has 25+ 2014s in stock. Your offer is pretty good. here are three offers given to me in the last week:
1)
msrp 58,875
cap cost 51,000
Price to purchase 48,400

2)
Msrp 54,525 (basically your car with theater)
Cap cost 47,200
price to purchase 44,600

3)
Msrp 47,695
cap cost 40,555
price to purchase 39,995

for all lease deals total due at signing equals first month payment plus 1300 dollars for documentation fee, dealer fee, and bank fee.

for all purchase deals the interest rate is 1.99 percent for a 60 month loan or less and the additional amount due is $650 for documention and dealer fees.

Hope this helps.

Great tip, this is the all feared issue that people will have and it sure helps to have a little guideline to follow in order to steer clear of the issue.
