New Owner with a couple questions

Hi all,

After much research and many test drives (Lexus RX, Audi Q7, Acura MDX) we picked up our 2014 QX60 last week. Diamond Slate/Black Prem, Prem+, Dlx Touring, Tech, Theater. We are loving it so far. I was quite impressed with the fact that in addition to music, the car can read movies from a usb stick (figured that out after we got the car). Picked up a 64gb stick to load music and movies onto. We formerly had owned/leased an 07 MDX and a 2011 MDX. This is our first Infiniti.

Having said that I had a couple of questions that maybe you guys who have had the car longer could answer.

When you are done driving but are still on a phone call is there a way to turn off the engine but not all the car's electronics? When we push the START/STOP button when the engine is running everything turns off.

When viewing the map screen (full map) the XM channel shows up in the bottom part of the screen, is there a way to change this to display song title/artist name etc?

Thanks

I'm not aware of any way to shut down any vehicles engine but keep the electronics active. Well, a hybrid will shut down the engine on stop usually and keep electronics going, but that's irrelevant to your question.

I have not done it on the QX60 yet, but all my previous vehicles had a way off the touch screen to send the call from the car to the phone so you can then shut the car down and continue your call on the phone itself.

I'm not often on my map screen so I don't have an immediate answer for the 2nd question. I know when I'm on the XM or radio screen I can hit the status button and it brings up the bottom half of the screen with mpg, nav and other info. Does it show what you want if on the nav screen and you hit the status button?
Hi all,

When you are done driving but are still on a phone call is there a way to turn off the engine but not all the car's electronics? When we push the START/STOP button when the engine is running everything turns off.
When the car is on, press the power button twice, but quickly. Your electronics will stay on but the car will switch off.
Welcome to the site, congrats on the purchase, and thanks for posting.

Hopefully a current owner can answer the question for ya.
I tried it real quick and scratch my hitting the status button thing. That works when on the radio screen to make the bottom half of the screen display a nav route if one is programmed, climate info or mpg info. But on the nav screen I got what you got and couldn't find a way to immediately have it display more audio data.

On my previous 2 cars I could split the screen and have nav on the left half and radio info on the right. I wonder if that's possible with this system, I'll have to get out my audio manual, lol.

Thanks guys, will try the stop button twice tomorrow and check that out. It may be that I can't get what I'm hoping for on the nav screen.
Oops, I forgot to even try that while in the car before, I'll also giver it a go later on. If by some chance it doesn't work, try finding the button on the screen that must exist to just send the call from the car back to the phone itself, then you can continue the call on the phone and shut the car down without chancing loosing the call.
