Hello I'm bill2355 and I'm new to this website. I do have a question about my 2015 QX60. When making right turns the door locks open and closes, the interior lights come on and then off and there is a faint tingling sound. All this at the same time. Has anyone had or heard of such a problem? If so, do you know the fix?

Sorry, I’ve never heard of this issue. I’ve been on this form for the past 10 years and I don’t recall anyone else reporting something similar.

It sounds like your electrical system is getting grounded during turns, causing the locks, lights and sounds to trigger.

To rule out the obvious, your key fob isn’t in your left back pocket?

Hopefully another user will chime in and give you better advice.

Thanks Yeller, I failed to mention that the "door open" light on the dash, showing drivers door being open, also comes on. I'll agree that a ground issue could be the problem but I also wonder if the drivers door switch, the one that lets the interior light come on, could be the culprit. Geez, I truly dislike electrical problems, always trial/error!!

Agree, electrical issues can be a pain. A good/competent mechanic can get to the root problem quickly.

Dealerships aren’t always the best choice for these types of issues.
Yeller, I disconnected this switch located in the drivers door pillow, I think that's what it is called, that controls the interior light when the door is open. Drove the car about a mile with no door lock or any other thing going wrong. Not knowing if the switch was bad or not I decided to place two round toothpicks behind the switch, one on each side, to add more pressure on the switch contacts when the door was closed. Have driven the car about 20 miles now with everything working normally! A T-20 torx and two toothpicks saved me hundreds, I'm sure, of what the dealer would've charged. Now I'll make an extender gasket to replace the toothpicks.

That's great news. For reference, the dealer would have charged a $200 diagnosis and another $300 for the part, so you're ahead $499.98 (less 2-cents for the two toothpicks).
