sometimes the liftgate will open when using the fob or any of the other buttons and sometimes it won't. When it does not open, none of the buttons work. Then all of a sudden, they will randomly work.

I see the lights blink once, then nothing else happens.

I always check the button to left of steering wheel, checked the lock button on liftgate, and have disconnected the battery for 20+ minutes to see if that would fix the issue.

There is no grinding sound. I can hear I believe the lock engaging when I press the lock button, but no strange sounds.

It simply chooses to not work but then will.

Going grocery shopping gets a bit rough when you cant open it, then have to climb in back to use the manual latch, fill the car with groceries, then get home and try to crawl over the food to get the latch again. Then after doing all that, come back out, push the fob and it works! Ugh!!

Once the gate is open, I can the push the button on the gate (don't think I've tried the fob to close it) and it will close.

Any ideas???

Weird. Maybe a short in the on/off switch on the dash?

Still not working...

It will not work for a few days, then all of a sudden it will work. Mechanic thought it might be the sun's heat overheating the module, but did not know for sure. It worked inside his shop, but after leaving it in sun, it stopped working.

anyone find the real solution yet?

also, anyone have a link that shows how to get to the module for replacement?

Hi. I have exactly same problem like you. Fortunately, mine was not working like two or three hours, then suddenly work. I was wondering if it is the problem of the battery. I had a 2015, and never changed the battery yet. Did you fix your problem finally? How it worked? Thanks for your sharing.

Can you not even open the gate manually? Touch the button on the lift gate base once , then once again and you should be able to lift the gate ( it is heavy). The first touch unlocks the latch and the second touch simply stops the opening mechanism to allow manual operation.

Our murano gate was easier - a quick 2tap and the gate was easy to open manually, way faster than with the motor. The wax gate moves a lot slower in manual mode, seem to have to overcome a lot of motor resistance
