Now if you already there why not to replace
Oil Cooler Gasket
When u replace oil filter it sits on this Oil Housing which they call Oil Cooler !
its super easy to replace NOW not when it will start leaking ( my was OK btw )
Just get 22m deep socket , 20-30 min and you done
I got some aftermarket gonna do it this week !

Finally replaced my control arms and tie rods on 140k miles !!!
See cracks on bushings, they were toast especially small 👌
Ya , and I used my BMW ball joint tool extractor , worked very well !!
Not an easy job for the control arm !
This video is a spot on for replacement but I guaranty it will not be THAT easy !@!

My control arms have 160k and look much worse. I was hoping to follow the same video.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Yes good video but you will be doing same things UNDER car with very minimum access so be ready to fight for both control arms to replace.
I basically cracked my ball joint rubber boot on one side. Did some repairs with glue so i think it will hold it but it was NOT an easy job , guaranty !
For tie rods if u use some heat on 2 nuts and proper ball joint extractor tool the job is easy.

One more thing - i went with MOOG parts from RockAuto . They are expensive ( good quality ? ) but OEM are 2x more . I read reviews about TRQ , they are selling also on Amazon , and a lot of folks are complaining that TRQ quality is very bad and ball joint failed in less than a year.
GL !

Just rebuilt my Real Brakes with reman calipers . They usually go bad after 8-10 years !
One side started to seize and getting hot damaging my rotor .... old car ahhh

Napa was a good source for Reman calipers , u pay $150 per side and they refund you half as a Core Deposit on return

This was a good video how to do Calipers replacement

Also rebuilt Front Brakes after 3 years and 40k miles
Brakes on these cars are NOT lasting long time , was using Bosh QuietCast Premium Ceramic pads all time .
This time i picked up Power Stop Heavy Duty pads with WAGNER Rotors from RockAuto
I usually cut the old rotors but front was cut already before and rusted all over
Let see how long new set will last :)

Also refreshed my Brake fluid after 5 years !!!
Fluid was really really dirty , looks like it was due a long time ago !!!
Old cars work never end LOL

New Upper Engine mount replaced today

Image
9

Get one $30 Taiwan made from Amazon and feel the difference :)

The old one , - see both sides have cracks which are not so visual when installed

First impression - no vibration from Engine on steering wheel !!!

Image

One of the videos i used

Take into consideration that Nissan dont have complicated AC lines / other hardware near Engine mount like Infiniti
so be ready to spent some good time taking these 2 18mm bolts out and putting them back !

After all suspension work I still have some low speed noises going over bumps. I was not able to replicate problem myself as all suspension parts appear to be new or rebuilt. Spent $200 with my local dealer on diagnostic . He is very good on helping when its needed , also they have special equipment to check parts for "vibration".
Here is his verdict :
The Maintenance Advantage complete struts assembly which u can see on my first page and picture below which I installed in DEC 2021 are JUNK (!?!?:?!?) and they last couple of years MAX.
Be aware !!!

Don't ask me why, they are selling by Infiniti Dealers under Infiniti logo , but my dealer claims they are NOT OEM.... WTF ... my dealer told me u are not the first with this problem and we stopped using them long time ago !!!
All in All , ordered all new parts but reused bumpers and springs from my original struts 🤒🤕🤢

Ready to install , Front Struts Rebuild :

Parts needed from Dealer :

I used string compressor from Amazon

If not struts as dealer told me next i will need to check my front sub-frame bushings
Based on dealer its not a common problems with these cars so i hope new struts will fix this issue !

Nice pics, thanks for posting. Anything left to repair? Seems like you've solved all suspension issues.
Yes sir
Finally new strut parts took care about my last issue - low speed front-end clunking noise over bumps !!!
Need to do alignment after new struts but so far car drives like new , no ANY NOISES from suspension ;)
Just hit 140k miles today !

Did your struts come with the springs or need to be ordered separately ?
E4303-9NF0A --> Suspension Strut (Left, Front)
E4302-9NF0B --> Suspension Strut (Right, Front)

I see a different part that got the description as Complete strut with spring kit but same price as above.
E4303-3JA0B --> Complete Strut With Spring / Mt. Strut Kit Suspension. (Left, Front)
E4302-3JA0B --> Complete Strut With Spring / MT. Strut Kit FT. Strut Kit Suspension. (Right, Front)
