he 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid will have two drivetrain options, a FWD model and RWD model, which one are you getting and why?
This is also the case with Lexus and their Lexus RX line up. Both the RX 350 and RX 450 have a $1000 mark up for AWD.For an extra 1k for AWD on the QX60, I don't see why anyone would even bother with the FWD.
Well it really depends if you need it or not. It would be better if you had the AWD and could turn of the rear differential so it becomes fwd only for fuel economy sake.I will be purchasing the AWD QX60 hybrid. It's superior to FWD in every way.
That would be the best option if Infiniti offered it. With the FWD vs AWD it really comes down to the argument of savings vs performance. I think the AWD is worth it.Well it really depends if you need it or not. It would be better if you had the AWD and could turn of the rear differential so it becomes fwd only for fuel economy sake.
at least with getting an AWD Hybrid, the regenerative braking gives you back some range as you slow down and go on the brake, so you may not feel the difference of FWD to AWD in your walletThat would be the best option if Infiniti offered it. True but with just about any hybrid you don't break even from the premium you paid for the hybrid model until many of years later. I think some auto news website said something like 5 years of ownership is needed to break even and actually see some real savingsat least with getting an AWD Hybrid, the regenerative braking gives you back some range as you slow down and go on the brake, so you may not feel the difference of FWD to AWD in your wallet
