The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded the Top Safety Pick+ award to the Infiniti QX60.
The Infiniti QX60, along with the Nissan Sentra, had previously earned 'good' ratings in each of the IIHS' five crashworthiness categories, however their optional front crash prevention systems were unavailable for testing at the time. In order to get the Top Safety Pick+ award, automatic emergency braking systems must earn an 'advanced' or 'superior' rating.
Those systems have now been tested and have both received 'superior' grades.
