Infiniti Connection/Personal Assistant GPS

3091 Views 8 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  BobOB
About a week ago one of our members was experiencing a problem with the Infiniti Personal Assistant not being able to locate his vehicle. I just checked yesterday while driving through the Bay Area and its now back in service. The operator told me they had a system failure last week that took a while to fix but everything is up and running.

I really like these services and do use them on every long trip. Its so nice to have someone that can load an address that you can't find on the Nav screen manually. Its also nice that someone can see where you are at and look and weather conditions on your route. I find that Nav Weather is not as good as some Android and Iphone apps.

That was me ... and still no resolution ... here is what I posted in my original post

"Well, it has now been in the shop for 4 weeks, and still no resolution. So last week I requested a buyback .... got a call on Friday, they are sending a tech for one final attempt to fix this, if they can't fix it they have agreed to buy it back.
Mixed emotions on buying it back, just another hassle, hopefully they can get it fixed"
I find it amazing that a dealership service department couldn't take care of your issue and its sad that buy-back is a consideration. Personally we've had great experience with all the Nissans and Infiniti we've owned over the years. 9 total. If I had the issue you were experiencing, I'd request a buy-back or new vehicle if they can't fix the problem. Keep us posted and best wishes.

Bob,
Update is they have agreed to a buyback but not a repurchase, because all current QX60's are effected by AT&T no longer supporting 2G network, which is the hardware that is currently in the QX60's

Same here.
It disappoints me further that this has become way too common, it shouldn't be. Customer service is key and it's not being treated like that from what i'm getting through the experience of many infiniti owners.
And now we're starting to see that Infiniti has no plans to support current owners once the 2g network is turned off, nationwide (I did hear that it's starting to be turned off in some locations, now, which this seems to corroborate).
I'm going to re-contact Infiniti Consumer Affairs regarding this issue and see what their current response will be.

Hopefully they respond in a timely manner and give a good response, keep us posted!
