Anybody notice that the outside temperature gauge is not accurate or that it takes a very long time before it gets anywhere near accurate? It only seems to change when the car is in motion, I have an appointment to bring it in and looking at the service manual there a few things that could be causing this (bad connection, dash display or temperature sensor). Wondering if anybody is experiencing this and if this is normal.

Seems typical. Same as every car I've ever had with a sensor. If not moving, heat builds up around the sensor, like from reflected heat from the ground. If it's reading low, however, that's a bit odd. Don't know that I've ever seen that!

Ours has been as much as 20 degrees above or below actual outside temperature.

One dealer said the re-set the device but it didn't help.

Annoying.

I have the same issue, I feel like it's REALLY slow to update. I keep my car in the garage where it's typically around 50F in the winter and outside temps are 5-10F. I have a 30 minute drive to work and usually it's getting to the ACTUAL outside temp about the time that I pull into my office parking lot.

My old G35 was accurate within a few minutes.
