Hi folks,

After comparing with the MDX, XC90, and Santa Fe, we went with the QX60...

Best car we ever had! the ride, space, mpg, are all top notch...

Looking forward to many thousand miles of driving pleasure with this keeper.....

Where'd you end up buying? How much? What options? Sorry I couldn't earn your business. I hope whoever you bought from did an excellent job of delivery, showing you how everything works and setting up phone and all the other stuff for you.

Congrats.
Hi Ningster,

Congratulations on your new QX60!

Did you end up getting the AWD or FWD? I am also curious about the exterior & interior colors along with the packages & options. As I plan on purchasing a luxury crossover next year, please let us know how it performs over time (say every 3,000 miles or when an issue arises). I would like some real world experience to aid my decision.

Thanks,

Eric
Great! Mind if I ask how much you paid? I have a couple of figures in mind, but I don't mean to offend the sales person. I'm not trying to low ball by any mean. It's just that's all I can pay. With that said, what do you think about my figures?

1. QX60 with Premium 1 package - thinking of offering $36,000 + TTL
2. QX60 with Premium 1 package and Premium Plus package - thinking offering $37,500 + TTL

Think they are too low? Please let me know. Thanks.
Congrats! Should have went to Sinsecure :p He probably would have gave you a better deal.

glad to hear you're enjoying your QX60,
what you might find interesting is that the Acura MDX won autoguide utility vehicle of the year, beating the QX60:

You should post some pictures of your QX60 so that we can see what you are working with. It would also be nice to hear your thoughts on the QX60 once you have had it for a little while. I usually hear pretty good things, so I'm not surprised that you are enjoying it!

Hi Randy,

We ended up buying from a southern California dealership... The color and options we wanted were very rare and somehow this dealer could get it... I would've much rather bought from you instead. I was going to fly down there t pick up the car but ended up paying a few hundred bucks having it shipped to me. I will pm you the deal numbers....

Eric,
I ended up buying a fwd liquid platinum on graphite... No packages, only bumper protector and door sill plates.... Got the all weather mats for free and I paid for the splash guards...

Very happy with the car so far, the first thing I did after taking delivery was reset the mpg....and took the family out on a 50 mile drive for brunch ;-)

Get this: toward the end of our trip, the mpg was showing 30! This is average, not instant mpg... Granted its mostly freeways, but we had 6 passengers in the car, 30mpg was awesome!

Once we got home, the avg mpg went down to 28, but still... Amazing!

Well, I took a good look at Acura twice and didn't pull the trigger... First time was in 2005, I was deciding between the mdx or xc90, and went with the Volvo instead... There was not enough headroom in the mdx..

Fast forward to 2013, deciding between mdx and qx60, the mdx was too light, still not enough headroom, lousy 3rd row seat, more expensive, and the deal killer was that touch screen control center... I rather press buttons :p

Very, very happy with the qx60.....

I will post photos once I have the splash guards installed....

Mind if I ask how much you paid? I'm interested in getting one with premium 1 package. How's the one without any option package? Is it still well equipped?

Would you mind posting them here, just curious what you paid, others might be wondering too.

well, it would be misleading to just throw a number out there...

timing, locale, financing, credit score, are all part of the deal. that's why I didn't want to simply post the price I paid...

there were dealerships that quoted me super low prices, but in the end, they could not deliver, and tried to sell me another car at a much higher price.... (aka bait and switch?)

another dealer gave me the price I wanted, but when I went in to sign the paperwork, they jacked up the financing rate by a whole point. (I was pissed and walked right out of that dealership)

Fair enough, i wouldn't doubt that they possibly did a bait and switch it happens, maybe it happened to you

yeah, what really bothered me was that they assured me that they found the car I wanted, at the price I wanted. so they got me to fill out their loan application and checked my credit and all...

then the next day, call me and tell me they couldn't get the car....:mad::mad::mad:
guards look great. DIY backup sensors...did you drill the bumper?

yep, it was a little scary to drill 4 holes into the bumper...
