The HomeLlink systems in our vehicle are older units and will not work with the current LiftMasters/Chamberlain garage door openers. We need to use an extender model #855LM for the older HomeLink transmitters in our vehicle to work with the new garage door openers. I have a 2013 JX and the stock HomeLink does not work. Contacted LiftMaster and they confirmed the issue. The cost of the unit is $24.99.

I have an 8355w Liftmaster that just replaced a 20 year old genie. I am unable to link the transmitter to my JX35's Homelink using the steps in the instruction manuals and the information provided in this forum. I'm waiting to contact the installer to see if they can help figure it out.
