Help with choosing between a 2014 and 2015 QX 60

Hi there - I have a "high quality" dilemma and hoping the team on this forum can help with advice.

As part of my compensation package at work I am entitled to a new car (I am in sales). I have landed on a QX60, and have 2 options:
1) a 2014 model...non hybrid, with premimum and deluxe ouring package. Colour is Silver outside and black inside. Monthly payment for me is $85 as it is over my cap cost. It is available now.

2) a 2015 model...same options as above. Colour is Black outside and black inside. Monthly payment for me is $125 as it is more above my cap cost. It needs to be ordered and will take up to 8 weeks.

My question for the group is which should I choose? Also, is there any differences between the 2014 and 2015 model?

I am not concerned about the extra $40 a month, and my decision is really based on what makes most sense long term.

We generally keep the car for approx. 100K kms for work and then turn back for a new one. If we like the car, which I anticipate we will given all the great reviews, my plan is to buy out the residual and keep as our family car for my wife.

I am not overly fussy, but my preference would be the black colour, which means waiting and a slightly higher monthly payment. And I imagine a higher residual buy out value.

Thanks a ton for your help,

Josh

The 2015's should be coming in, and black on black should be available. They are most likely trying to get you into a 14 because they want them off of the lot. We have about 15 2015 models, and we get them last in the United States. You are correct about the residual though because the 2015's will not have the same rates and residuals.
If it were me, I'd want to order the options and colors scheme. If they are giving you a good deal, the 2014 isn't a bad way to go. I just have gotten spoiled picking out exactly what I want. Too many years of settling for whats on the lot has provided many days of buyer's remorse.

Sadly I find that's the case with many products, have to take some sort of a hit in the start so you can know better for later on
