Heated Steering Wheel Question

So it's freezing here in Ohio....and I have been heavily using my heated seats and steering wheel. The good news is if I use the remote start from the warmth of my kitchen, the heated seats turn on to whatever setting they were on last time I turned the car off (translation: they are set to high). However, if I remote start the heated steering wheel does not come on by default. This is no big deal, but I am wondering if there is an "auto on" or "on if < some degree setting". That way, when I come out to my warmed up car, the steering wheel is still not 5 degrees. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Its weird. In my Q50, the steering wheel heater is automatic (based on internal car temp). But we don't have that feature in the QX60.
In the QX, it's a timer switch, therefore it can't be left in the on position like the seats can.
It's not a timer for me... it will cycle on/off. I don't mind turning it on, but a) what a stupid place to put the switch and b) why doesn't it turn on when remote starting the car? More little things Infiniti got wrong.
I have a 2014 INFINITI QX60. MY STEERING WHEEL HEAT CONTROL SWITCH DOESNT TURN ON. FUSE IS GOOD. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT IT MIGHT BE?
