I have seen a few postings of hacks on Nav equipped qx60s. Can that same hack be done with the base models? I've been trying to figure a way to stream my music while I drive. Can someone help me out? Thanks!!!
The hacks are only to bypass the nav lockouts when the vehicle is in motion. If you want to stream audio via bluetooth, why not buy a bluetooth/FM transmitter from Amazon? They connect 10X faster to the phone (than the QX), have noise cancellation, $30-50, remote mic's, speakerphone, etc...

I have a transmitter but I get too much static and the sound quality isnt that good. I saw a video where a guy took out the XM radio connection and added a Bluetooth receiver. Looked like alot of work. I was hoping that I could use the USB port and or the rca connection with my android phone. That would save me alot of time.

I'm working on a hack now to mirror my Galaxy phone to my monitor. I will be able to mirror my phone so I can stream video/audio and use my phone for navigation. Ordered a wifi for car dongle to mirror wirelessly from ebay. Talking to car kit company now if they can make what I need. I'm also installing a front camera in it. U need the ebrake bypass and speed sensor bypass to watch video while driving.

Let me know how your project goes.

I did the same thing last year with my Samsung S4. I mirrored Waze on the main screen using the following:
- Samsung Hub
- HDMI to RCA converter
- Nav Hack

I ended up taking everything apart because there was no easy way to receive phone calls since all sound is ported through RCA to your speakers. Also, I was tired of triggering the mirror display everytime I got into the car.
