Gaming console in theater package

Hi all, fairly new owner of a 2017 qx60 with theater package. My two boys got the Nintendo switch for Christmas which has an HDMI hookup. I tried to plug in to my HDMI so that they can use their monitors to play but the input was never recognized. I haven’t tried any other input yet (located in Ohio with -20 windchills the last couple days so it’s freezing even in the garage!). Anyone else with a problem playing a gaming console with the theater package?

I'd have thought it would work through HDMI, but tried using the RCA jacks and see if that works.

I played around with this with my boy's switch. Direct usb-c to HDMI port did not work, but using the included stand for the switch *did* work. We did notice however that there was some lag between the switch and the screen, so it may be frustrating to play any kind of game that requires precise responses (like most do).
Not to be difficult, but what is the point of making the switch work on the screen? Its a portable device and the screen is basically the same size as the monitor. The only thing I could see it being useful for is if you have one switch and two kids want to play. Even then they can just keep the screen between them or something.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble hooking up your Nintendo Switch to your 2017 qx60 with the theater package. It can be frustrating when things don't work as expected, especially when it comes to keeping the kids entertained.
Have you tried changing the input source on your theater package to HDMI? Sometimes it's not set to automatically recognize new devices, so you may need to manually switch it over. It's also possible that there's a compatibility issue with the HDMI version or something else, but hopefully, it's just a matter of changing the input source. Also, I'm not sure if that's something you're interested in or not, but you could try to play games for real money. It's important to do your research and ensure you're using a reputable legal platform in your area, though.
