My 2015 QX60 has only 58K miles. One of the fans is making knocking sound and I can see that the fan is wobbling in its operation. When it is running with AC and I turn off the AC, the sound goes away. It is sad to see this going bad with ponly 58K miles on the car.

1. I checked with 1800-radiator and the aftermarket is $304 plus tax.
2. I can get genuine from a out of town dealer for around $360 plus tax.
3. Labor is quoted around $200 by my mechanic.

I need your thoughts and suggestions on what to buy and is the labor reasoanble? Can I do it myself? Thanks in advance.

Other posts on this site have recommended staying with OEM since aftermarket fans are more noisy and/or run 24/7.

I recommend buying the OEM fan and replacing it yourself. There are a number of youtube videos showing how to replace.

On our 2014 I replaced mine with the aftermarket fan unit by TYC. It was easy to change. Been working great since. In the meantime while you're waiting to get the work done, I would recommend unplugging the bad fan at the control unit. You don't want that thing flying out and possibly damaging something under the hood. On ours, it was the fan on the passenger side.
