This is the most ridiculous experience I've had with modifying a car. And I've done everything from putting a TV in the trunk of one car, to putting an Xbox 360 in the front of another, and LEDs and HID installs for days.
Yet I can't get proper fitting LEDs for the dome lights. What!
I ordered a bunch from SuperBrightLEDs, using their car finder. They suggested 194s for the dome light...which they are not. But I figured I was wrong and messed up something. Nope, their website says 194. AutoZone, CarID, and ModifiedLife, which I always rely on for bulb lists, all have it wrong. So I figured, let me go to the manual...the manual does not frigging list the bulb number. It literally has a dash (-) where the bulb number should be.
Someone on here or another forum, after much digging, said the right bulbs were BA9S types. So I order BA9S types from SuperBrightLEDs, whose website is screaming at me that these won't fit my car. I get them, right shape, should work. Nope, a tiny bit too small, they sit a little loose, and no light.
Can someone point me to an actual link for white LEDs that will work for our cars? Apparently I'm incapable of finding the right bulb...
And how does everyone have it wrong? I mean, it's definitely not 194 type. Just, so confused and frustrated with this experience. I now have all my lights as white LEDs, my HIDs and fogs done, and ugly yellow map lights still. Sigh.
Your help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
