Anyone else has this problem, where the (heater/AC) blower starts to make a loud humming noise, and Infiniti having to clean this out? Happened for the second time in a year.

For us, we unfortunately had this happen to us earlier last year. They said it was a few leaves that got stuck in the assembly. I wouldn't doubt it as we generally get a lot of leaves around us. Good luck and hope they're able to fix it again without much problems. :)

I just purchased a 2013 JX and thought the blower sounded a bit loud so I pulled it out and found a bunch of leaves. The problem is that the blower is mounted before the cabin air filter in this vehicle. The blower pulls air directly from the plastic cowling below the wipers. If you remove the access panel on the left side you can actually see the blower. Once I got everything cleaned out the blower sounds better.

I currently have a 2016 QX60 loaner and decided to take a look at the area where the blower is. It looks like Infiniti realized that there needed to be some sort of screen here. Wish my 2013 had this.

What parts did you need to remove to access and clean out the blower? Glove box? I see you were able to fully remove the blower.

We have a 2019 QX60 and suddenly we have a whistling/hissing sound (more hissing if fan on high, more whistling if fan on medium). Whistling is coming from under the glove box and ONLY when heater is on (don't really notice the sound when on 60/cool). The higher the heat, the louder the sound.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Had something similar in XC90, they had to replace the blower, wasn't cheap as they had to tear the dash apart to get to it (and part itself wasn't cheap either)

This must be a Nissan design problem. Had the same issue with our previous Murano, never with any other car I've ever owned in 40 years.. Maple leaves got in there somehow and the stiff stems hitting the fan blades made a heck of a racket.
