Dealer provided benefits/incentives

So after shopping around, we bought our QX60 from a dealer about an hour or so away vs one that was only 20 minutes away since they provided us a better deal and a better overall experience.

That said, dealers offer different benefits for buying from them, like free car wash with or without service, among other things. Have any of you experienced buying from a non-local dealer and still getting benefits of servicing through the local dealer? Are they sticklers about these things? We just bought our QX60 this weekend so haven't yet had to go to our local dealer for service but figured I'd check with others on your experience.

Thanks,
Rony

In theory there is no difference between local vs non-local - all the Infiniti service dept should offer the same level of service, at least more consistent then say a Toyota service dept.
In practice, I've found the real determining factor is a good service advisor.
If you're getting your car serviced by the local dealer, you should get the same service from them as any other customer. If I were the salesperson and you did that to me, I'd be disappointed that you didn't give me the chance to beat the competitor's quote, and I definitely wouldn't offer you any free car washes like I do for my customers. But service is separate from sales. They'll wash your car when it is in for service - assuming they do that for others. And if the sales department was sub-par when trying to sell you the car, then shame on them - they deserved to lose the deal.

I would have to say the same thing. I will go above and beyond for my customers. If someone were to go somewhere else to buy the vehicle, I probably would not invest my time in getting them discounts and what not. Regardless of this point though, the service department will have the same incentives on services and should still treat you like a service customer that you are. That should not matter at all. But it is good to find a sales consultant that will work for you, because over time you will get treated better and have another person to get advice from in the future. Hope this helps!
