It is technically "ok", but I would deflate the air to 35 psi. Reason being is it will ride rougher with more air in the tires, and it will wear the tread much faster. It will give you a little bit better gas mileage, but not to the point where it will break you even on tires. You can go to most local gas stations that have air stations and do it without having to go into the dealer. Just place the reader on the tire stem, and deflate it until it says 35. Hope this helps, and feel free to ask more questions.
I guess it depends on where you live. The dealer filled my tires to 45psi with nitrogen and perhaps to compensate the fluctuation in temperature especially in cold climate. The display was 36psi when it was -25C in the winter.

It all depends on what you're looking for.

At 45psi you're getting a 7% increase in MPG. If you drive ~17k miles per year (like I do), and spend $2.50/gallon, you're saving $135/year. When gas goes back up to $3.50/gallon, you'll save $189/year.

Maybe you're dealership was trying to save you a few bucks :)

Also, at 45 psi your tire isn't in danger.
Thanks to all for your comments and advice.
I called the dealership, and the service department says it is supposed to be set to 36 psi. (The sticker on the car is saying 33 psi) I don't know why they were inflated to 45 psi.
With the 45 psi (cold), I noticed it reached 50 psi when hot, and the Michelin tire installed indicates 44 psi as its max pressure, hence I was a bit concerned.
I deflated them to 36 psi, and will keep my eyes on them when winter comes.
Anybody with plus size aftermarket wheels/tires wanna share what psi they running. I have Nitto 420s 265/40/22 that they inflated to 40psi. Is that too much? What's everyone running on?
