I'm a JX35 owner and thought you Q60 owners may be interested to see my new Thule Ascent 1700 cargo box that I picked up from Volvo for a great price....note the custom rebranding that I did

That's a little over the top for my taste.

Our old Thule box is huge, and doesn't fit in our standard 7' garage on top of the the QX60. This is a problem as we ski almost every weekend in the winter. I was actually contemplating a garage remodel!

A newer Thule box saved me, the Sonic Alpine. Here is a link: Thule Sonic Alpine 633 - Thule

This box looks pretty nice, can hold at least 5 pairs of skis and the low profile fits in most garages - both at home and in the mountains. Here is a stock photo. It is a little spendy, but less so than a garage remodel.


I'll post a few photos of our silver box on the black QX60 soon.

Looks good. I should put logos on mine. Here's my Q50. One good thing about a car vs. SUV is I can fit in the garage with box on no problem.

I love how you rebranded it which of course makes it look better, even more premium, almost like it was OEM, but some people may be able to tell the difference, which would be very few.

could have a local body shop spray it for a couple hundred dollars.

I haven't seen any pics but no reason why it won't fit/work. It would be nice to throw some spare tires, coolers, basic junk that you don't worry about getting dirty (or that's already dirty).

Post a pic if you get one, I'd love to see it.

Yeah - my question was more about looks than function

I used to have one on my Mercedes (ML430 - much older)... Defiantly has more of a offroad look than luxury suv.
