Car doors of infiniti QX60 are not locking with the key fobs or button on handles or even when try locking from inside. None of the doors lock with key fob (just replaced the battery). When I try to lock it with the button on door handle; it makes an electronic sound (it's not a mechanical sound). Same sound comes when I lock from inside and shut the door. Surprisingly, it locks when I am sitting inside the car even when it is parked. But, once I come out and try locking it, it doesn't not lock. It makes a sound instead which sounds like an electronic sound or a sound from sensor (like a chain of "beeps").

I have researched a lot in Google but can't find any resolution. Please provide some guidance. Thanks.

Sorry, that’s a new one for this site (from a thread perspective).

To confirm, you can lock/unlock doors by pushing the door-button while sitting in the seat, and all doors lock? While sitting in the car, are you able to lock/unlock doors using the fob while sitting in the seat as well?

I’m assuming the vehicle starts while the fob is in your pocket, so it appears the issue is not a fob issue (your 2nd fob can confirm this).

Next is to double-check fuse #1 (fuse box is at your left knee location, use the provided white fuse-puller). Fuse #1 controls a ton of stuff like seat movement, start/stop so I doubt it’s broken, but it’ll be good to double-check. See THIS for list of fuses and what they do.

I’ve had strange behavior (similar to this) when the battery is low. As a double-check, try charging the battery over night so it’s at full strength.

Unfortunately next step is to visit the dealership, unless another member has other ideas.

This can happen when a spare key is still in the vehicle somewhere.

Thank you so much. You are absolutely correct. Somehow spare key was left in the vehicle and we weren't aware of it.

This wasn't letting us close the vehicle.

Thank you so much. Car is now getting locked just fine now that we have taken the spare key out.

Glad I could help...the very same thing has happened to us when my wife would leave her key in the car and I would try to lock it with mine! =)
