Hi,

Very happy and excited since I got my new QX60 Hybrid on new year.
I find it much better looking than Lexus RX/MDX/BMW X5.

Will be looking to upgrade the audio or getting a new amp since mine have the standard Bose system. Anyone has any suggestions? Please let me know.

There are really a whole bunch of options when talking about audio. You really have to decide what your budget is and go from there. Are you going to be doing the whole system, or just a sub?

I picked up my hybrid first week of Jan. Fuel savings hmm... well I looked at the Infiniti manual and it said that don't measure the fuel econ during the break-in period. Which is probably couple thousands kilometers.

I found that it only switches from the engine to the hybrid battery when the climate is off and the car is stopped/idle or when on the highway and going downhill and A/c or Climate is off. As soon as you touch the gas paddle and its back on the gas engine. So, it is not running on the hybrid battery much or as often as it should. The hybrid battery also supplements the engine sometimes when it needs more power.

I would like to just upgrade the amplifier I think the audio system, speakers are fine. Maybe a better amp will enhance the sound. I haven't contacted my Infiniti Retailer yet about that. In case you know any retailer in Toronto Canada. Please let me know.

I know for some vehicles it may take longer than a few thousands KM's to get the official reading, but it will be good to keep track of it from that first time you check and continue checking

So you are trying to get new audio amps from infiniti itself? I would look into aftermarket options too. Bose is a great audio equipment company.

I'm not sure how easy it is to upgrade the amplifier without over riding the stock system..

likely you'll have to do some splicing into the stock harness to make it all work with an aftermarket amp. not going to be easy but worth it all once done right
