Biggest problem that officially you can't install tow-hitch even on qx60 Autograph AWD because of motion sensor. But I don't understand why because factory tow package works fine with motion sensor and service manual has no any specific changes about it. And technically, the motion sensor is only 2 wires / antennas laid along the bumper and the maximum that is required is reconfiguring the motion sensor ECU
to clarify: you can do tow hitch on the Autograph AWD - and most are coming w factory install. My understanding is that they fabricate it from the beginning to not be in conflict with the motion lift sensor. (Why they didn't do that for the FRONT wheel drive is beyond me.)

Yes, I know that finisher issue, because the picture of autograph or earlier trim showed a different rear bumper, the finisher looks only for that type of rear bumper.

Another issue is "NOT AVAILABLE ON VEHICLES WITH MOTION ACTIVATED LIFTGATE", even for the hitch receiver(2022 Infiniti QX60 Tow Hitch Receiver, Class III (Hitch Only) - T99T5-6TA0A - Genuine Infiniti Accessory), per that description, feels like all trims with motion activated liftgate are not fit that tow hitch.

I didn't find the tow hitch part on the Infiniti website for qx60 with motion activated liftgate(sensory, autograph fwd)

You guys are finding the same "incompatible" stuff I did a few months ago. It's maddening. They have parts but they can't be used with "motion activated lift gate" - which is a STANDARD feature on the Autograph. But at the same time, the INFINITI build site for the Autograph FWD (specifically!) provides towing capacity specs (3,500#) AND sells hitch-mounted accessories - which of course implies that there must be a compatible hitch. (Though, I did have an inane conversation with one Consumer Affairs rep who suggested, "Maybe you can tow with something else, not use a hitch." WHAAAT?!?!)

Because Autograph AWD with tow hitch exists then tow hitch finisher compatible with motion activated liftgate should exist too. There are two possibilities: it is exist but not discovered yet or the same tow hitch finisher compatible with motion activated liftgate too. Just ask a bodyshop how he will repair rear bumper with tow hitch after accident...what parts required to repair.

thanks for your thoughts - those points have been posed to INFINITI.
please share if you find out anything to fix the issue!

Yeah. I decide to walk in the Uhal and talk to them to see whether they can find one hitch for me. They do same check, phone call and google and find no hitch available for 2022 Infiniti QX60, so I ask them to try the one for 2022 Nissan pathfinder, they order one for me and installed it to my QX60( all per my decision, they are not sure whether that work), their technican mentioned need to cut a small part of the bumper, but he find a cable, he don't know what it is, I suppose that cable is for connection of the motion activaed sensor but I can't find the sensor, only cable, looks like that cable is the motion activaed sensor. I move that cable to clip of next one(there are 2 parallel cables) and Uhal technician installed the hitch.

Motioned activated tailgate no response sometimes, it didn't work well even before I install the hitch, I moved my feet under the bumper left and right, back and forth, but no response sometimes, it's silly to kick something under the bumper in parking lot but the tailgate no response, so I press the button.

I pay total $423 for the hitch, $270 part and $120 labor

That is very encouraging that you got a hitch installed! My local hitch shops are not willing to cut into the bumper (or cut anything) as they are concerned that can void my warranty. (INFINITI USA says any modifications or installing any equipment that was not advised by INFINITI specs can void the warranty.). I hope that does not pose an issue for you down the road.
I will contact my INFINITI service manager and the Consumer Affairs rep and see if they'll install the Pathfinder hitch you have.

Sure. Here are some pictures I take for your reference, we found that 2 cables (antenna) stick on the inner side of the bumper bottom, the only part of the cut is a small plastic part in the middle. I'm not sure about the warranty, I don't think cutting a piece of bumper to avoid the warranty makes sense, but better to check your qx60's bumper to see whether the layout of the motion-activated sensor is same.

U-haul technician told me they had cut many other cars to install hitch, they just not sure whether the pathfinder could be installed on qx60, and how much needed to be cut, so we tried and successful.

@raygolden58 ,
Thank you for the photos - great to see. But sorry, I see that you have the AWD - that is totally different (for some reason). All of my posts are regarding the FRONT Wheel Drive, Autograph trim.

The FWD with motion activated lift sensor is what has the supposed engineering flaw. The INFINITI service managers, parts managers, field techs, and engineers at HQ state there is NO WAY to attach a hitch on the FRONT Wheel Drive - they don't really explain why, but they have put it in writing that the "only way to get a hitch with the 2022 QX60 is to buy an All Wheel Drive version."

I'm glad you were able to get an after-factory hitch. I'll keep trying to get a resolution for the FWD version.

If anyone out there has solved for installing a hitch on FWD Autograph (i.e. model with motion activated lift), please be in touch.

Got a call from the dealer last month stating that the hitch from the Nissan Pathfinder can be installed on the Autograph FWD.

So wanted to follow up with you on the hitch install. How did it go? Was your Autograph plug and play for the wiring harness? Did you use the camper plug style?
I have a 23 Sensory FWD that I want to add a hitch also.
Thanks,
Paul
