Hey all, newbie here.

Any thoughts on buying a 2017 QX60 with ~150K (Uber)? Dealer service records, replaced CVT.

Run away or possibly worth it for the right price? Wouldn't say the QX is my first choice in general for my needs/wants, but this just come up.

Thanks!

I have a ‘17 with 187k I’ve not had to replace the cvt, and it has been extremely reliable as well as economical (23.2mpg last 8500miles). Would I run away, no, but you better be able to interpret dealer records etc. $ if less than $10k could be good. Of course check that everything works, and I mean everything. It does on mine.

IMO, it depends on how much you plan to drive/keep it. My 2013 has been extremely reliable at 155k, but it’s also starting to need expected repairs given it’s 10 years old (motor mount, AC repairs, front fan).

The CVT keeps me up at night because a broken CVT will cost more than the vehicle is worth (trade-in). As referenced earlier, my CVT has been rock solid and the vehicle you’re looking at has been fixed once, but it’s rare to find QX60’s beyond 200k. You should go into this purchase knowing it may be good for 50k, afterwards you may be gambling. Is that worth it to you?

Thanks for that!

I've looked into Lexus models and I would see comments that at 200K it's just getting broken in. lol
