Hi,

Just picked up a 2014 Qx60. All in all pretty happy.

A few things which have been bugging me.

I just moved to Florida and so Navigation is key. Has anyone noticed that it beeps whenever you are using Nav and you are coming up to an intersection where you need to turn? Wow, that is annoying.

I have played with turning navigation guidance sound down but then you lose the persons voice. I really just want to get rid of the beep?

We drove from Tampa to Bradenton, FL. (about an hour and 15 south of Tampa) The navigation said they had ZERO info on Bradenton? We couldn't plug in an address of something that has been there for over 5 years? How does that work on a 2014? Wouldn't it have the most up to date maps for at least end of 2013?

I am also trying to figure out how I want my music situation. I'm thinking of getting a 120 gig flash drive and transferring my music to that? What have other people done?

I have a terabyte worth of music and in a perfect world I would get an external hard drive that would connect through USB and use a car charger adapter and put in the middle console? I'm worried though it would be a mess to sort through all of that music AND if it will even read all of those files.

I am also having issues with it toggling through XM1 and XM 2 and then not having my presets. That should be a relative easy fix.

Sound on the headphones is pretty crappy but since I will probably always be driving or in the passenger seat and it is more or less a convenience for my kids. I'm not too concerned.

The driver assist and automatic braking is a TRIP. Still takes some getting used to.

two more things

Also, how do you get the locks to open when you are in park but have not turned off the car?

I have to turn off the car before the door locks unlock?

Also - with the navigation, once I get to my destination, it is not stopping the navigation. So, in other words - I get in the car the next time and it starts trying to turn me around to get back where I had just gone?

I have to manually go in and "cancel route" to get it stop?

Ideas?

It sounds to me like you need to find a better sales consultant that will go over all if this with you on delivery. Most everything you have asked about will either be in the settings in the nav screen, or in the information display in your dash. I would give your sales consultant a call and ask him to finish his job and show you how to use your $50k+ vehicle.

Qx60

Infiniti of Tampa has a bunch and are trying to clear them out.

I got the Theater and driver assist package.

I also got the maintenance and pain protection package so it got up there.

If you want to send me a private message I can give further details.

You can only have up to a few thousand songs on a flash drive. It actually states that in the owners manual. From experience, The larger size flash drive, the slower it was to load and play songs. (the largest I have used personally is 32 gig. That Worked!).

This could be because you haven't set up your memory settings. The QX60 stores not only your seats, mirrors and steering wheel. It actually stores your navi settings and radio settings just to name a few.

This could be due to not selecting the "right or Left" on the headphones themselves.

Also, on your steering wheel you have a menu button that you have to press until you see settings on the dash.
Then use your toggle on the steering wheel to select vehicle settings.
From there you will toggle until you see "auto door unlock" select that and choose which one you want.
