Our 2015 QX60 with 4K miles starting to make a clicking noise coming from what sounds like under the hood (maybe from the steering column) when gently pressing / applying the brakes. It did that consistently for 6 days in a row while out of town. When we drove back home from being out of town it stopped for about a week. Today it started again, and think it may have started again after a sudden stop.
Dealer has no idea, any thoughts?

Do you have a hybrid? I am wondering if it could be the regenerative braking kicking in.
Nope not a Hybrid. So far the dealer has no idea. Checked brakes etc. I'd say it happens 50% of the time and again it makes the clicking noise (driver side) when applying brake mid way from all the way down. Seems to happen slowing down under 30 MPH.

Sounds like a slightly warped or scratched rotor if it's only happening with light pressure... Could also be a loose break clip, but you claimed they checked the breaks...

UPDATE: Although the dealer could not find the root cause, after the last (1st) tire rotation the clicking when applying the brake has gone away. Very strange...
