Bluetooth Audio

I was trying to figure out what is he best way to switch Bluetooth Audio sources?

I have a family of four and we all have iPhones. When listening to my music (via bluetooth) and we decide to listen to wife's music, how can I tell the system to switch to my wife's bluetooth audio, or even my kids audio via bluetooth?

Thanks

Go to settings, bluetooth, connected devices, and then you can choose between audio devices.

it would be great if they had video guides that show you how to do things like this and make it available through some app, owners would love having that.
I don't believe you can switch devices while the car is in motion though (ie. if wanted to switch from phone 1 to phone 2 will have to pull over I believe) which is another way the "safety" feature/touch screen functionality is crippled even for the passenger to operate.
Turn off Bluetooth to the connected device, then the car should detect and connect to another. I have not tried this, but it worked on a friend's car (not Infiniti) so give it a shot.

And, yes, love how the systems disable things for us. Like THAT doesn't cause us to stare at the screen looking for why something is disabled. I think it's more distracting to have something that you know should work not work than to be able to do it, quickly (or, better, have your passenger do it for you).
In my previous Infiniti, 2008 G35 with Nav, I could just push the talk button and say "phone connect" and she would ask which phone, and I could choose one of the available paired phones, and it would switch while I was driving.
If you don't want to pull over to do this, you can plug the desired device into the USB plug and access it as an "ipod" by pressing Disc/Aux.
In order to have bluetooth streaming audio would the Premium package work with streaming music with bluetooth or do you need to premium plus package? I am asking because per the link below it says premium package, but some others have said I would need the premium plus package.

New 2014 Infiniti QX60 Options & Packages Prices - Motor Trend Magazine

Can someone confirm which package is required in order to stream bluetooth audio?

Thanks!
I advise customers against getting the car without Premium and Premium plus, but you can stream BT on either.

Edit: I was wrong. You must have Premium Plus to stream music. Sorry.

I agree with Sinecure. Buy as much car as you can afford but having the nice extras really make this car enjoyable to drive. My wife and I decided a long time ago to not buy any car unless we can load it up. There is nothing more depressing than buying a lesser model of your selected car and finding out that the item you really wanted can't be added later, or is just not worth the cost.

I don't completely agree with Bob about loading up the options. If I were buying this car, my config would be Premium, Premium Plus and Driver's Assistance packages. I don't care for the larger wheels and pan roof for the rear. Although I'd love the cooled seats, I wouldn't pay the Deluxe Touring package price just for that feature.

I wish I could just get the Prem and drive asst package, but I think most of the qx60s with drive asst all have prem and prem+. I don't care for the navigation because most of the time I use my phone. Gotta love the Waze app.

Thank you for confirming Bluetooth streaming also works with prem package because I contacted one dealer and he told me that I would need the Prem+ package to stream Bluetooth audio.
Ooops. I lied. You need to have Premium Plus to get BT streaming. Sorry about that.

Thank you confirming. This definitely helps on which options I need to get.
I sell Infiniti, too. I have a customer who recently upgraded from an iPhone 5 to a 6. Now her 2013 JX35 won't let her connect her iPhone 6 as an iPod. It used to when she had a 5. Her husband's iPhone 5 connects.

I suggested she had a damaged or 3rd party cable and she try a new cable. That didn't work. She doesn't have Nav or Premium Plus. She wants to play Pandora on her iPhone 6 and connect to the vehicle with a USB cable. She's not trying to use Bluetooth or Stream audio.

Thanks for your help,

That's sounds odd, since the operating system on a 6 or 5 should be the same. Have her try and reboot her phone -- yes it's an Apple but sometimes you still have to reboot them. Every once and a while, my iPhone 5s will have issues connecting through the USB, and a reboot will fix it. Also, sometimes my phone will connect through Bluetooth, vice USB, and I can't play it through the USB setting on the radio, I have to select Bluetooth input and then play, and it works fine.
I have a premium package... no bluetooth in the premium. Pls upgrade to premium plus if you need one.

Also , there is no way to browse the songs and folders without actually playing it.. Its so annoying! Any way around this?
I have the 15 speaker Bose surround sound system in mine, it sounds awesome, and I can access my playlists on the touchscreen with no issue when I plug my iPhone into the USB port. My only complaint is I can't find the 15th speaker, I've only located 14. Where the heck is that last one?
Do you know why bluetooth audio does not automatically switch directly to the phone that is connected to bluetooth? For example my wife uses the car most of the time, but when I use it the bluetooth phone connects, but the audio does not. I have to manually go to settings and select my device so I can play music off of it? My wife is not in the car and if she is then she turns off her bluetooth. Also I noticed that by phonebook doesn't always download automatically and I have to go to settings and have it download every time I connect. I would think the phone book should download without manually going to the screen and downloading it.
