Has anyone changed the CVT oil in their QX/JX themselves? It looks easy enough. Pretty much the same as a regular oil change. My question is how much oil will I need. I know the capacity is about 10.75 quarts, but that is if you can drain the whole system including torque converter, valve body, clutch packs, etc. I've read from other Nissan vehicles with CVT that only about 5 quarts drain out. I don't want to but much more CVT fluid than I need considering the stuff is around $20 a quart.

The local dealership told me it's "lifetime" oil, never needs replacing. That was when the JX35's just came out so they may not have known anything.

I see the manual recommends CVT fluid changes for the hybrid, but for the non-hybrid it only asks to "check" it.
