Adjust ringer volume separate from voice volume

When my Apple CarPlay is connected (wired or wireless), I can’t adjust the ringer volume separate from the call voice volume. To hear the person I have to turn it up above 20. But when it’s set at that volume, the ringer is also set at that volume and blows you away when it rings. I’ve tried everything on my iPhone - it’s on silent, I’ve turn the ringer all the way, I’ve turned off change with buttons. But the ringer is still obnoxiously loud on my car. My 2018 Honda Pilot didn’t have this issue. I could adjust the ringer volume separate from the call volume. Can I turn the ringer off completely?? Does anybody else have this problem?

I am having the same issue! Have you figured it out at all?

I haven’t. I purchased a “silent ringtone” on my iPhone.

When my phone is on vibrate, the text tone is silent, but even when my phone is on vibrate, the calls would still ring, LOUD. That part sounds like an iPhone or Apple CarPlay problem. If all the ringers and tones would be silent when my phone is on silent, it wouldn’t be such a problem. But still very frustrating that a $70,000 car can’t adjust two volumes separately when a $30,000 Honda could.
I am having the same problem on my car! My wife has the exact same car but without the Bose premium audio, and I don’t have the problem on her phone.

Also, I went and spoke to the chief technician at the dealership and he is saying that it is a problem with Apple Play. But then why isn’t it happening in my wife’s car. Very frustrating!
We are having this same issue! Along with many other issues.
There is a way to do it - it takes some fiddling around in the various settings (systems and volume settings, I think?). But there is a way to lower your ringtone volume so that when you get a call, it doesn't blast through your speaker system, although you have to turn up the volume a little bit after the call comes in.

Sorry guys, I wish I could articulate how to do it, but honestly, I did it while messing around with settings in a Target parking lot waiting for my wife and kids to finish up a shopping trip. But it is possible.

Driving a 2022 Autograph, if that helps. No clue if it works with a package like the lux, which I think has a different head unit.
Here is a screenshot of the 2023's "Volume & Beeps" menu. You're able to adjust volumes separately.

When Carplay is active, try going back to the OEM screen, then settings/volume & Beeps, then lower Ringtone.

Yes. It appears you can, but it reverts back.

Thank you so much!!! I have been suffering with this problem since I purchased my 2023. It seems to have fixed the problem, hopefully it doesn't revert back.

Oh, and forgot to mention, this isn't just a Apple Carplay problem. It was happening with my Android phone using Android Auto.

I’m glad it helped.

I just wish Infiniti didn’t treat Android Auto like second class citizens by making me use a wire. I’m jealous of my wife’s CarPlay auto connection.

My outgoing call is grey out.

Is your phone connected to your car via Bluetooth? I believe it has to be connected to your car in order for that setting to show up. Connected via cable only is not enough.

It’s connected vi Bluetooth no wires.

Ok, does everything else work ok when you try and make a call via the voice response system in the car (not via your phone's handset)?

Yeah everything works. I can’t control the voice and ringer separately. I was hoping my setup was similar to yours. Basically I tried two phones same output
The only difference I can think of is I use my android phone connected both via cable and bluetooth. I'm not sure if that would make any difference or not as to what options appear for voice and ringer. Has Infiniti had any suggestions?
