I purchased a new 2022 QX60 Sensory in warm titanium. Put a deposit down in September and received in mid-January. Took the vehicle home and loved it. Went on our first 300km road trip and no issues. BUT within a week we started to experience electrical issues. First issue was the Center console / computer screen losing power. The entire computer system went black. We tried restarting the vehicle a few times to no avail. After about an hour, we tried again and the system started working again. We brought into dealership. They could not recreate the issue but reset the system and said to monitor. Within the same week (again, the first week of ownership), the electrical to the third row seating stopped working. We will bring in to service next week. Two visits to service in first week of ownership with electrical issues. Not impressed. Anyone else having issues?

Agree, that sucks. It seems hard for auto manufacturers to resolve issues when making big tech leaps. In addition, they sub all the work out making it more difficult/longer to resolve.

Does anyone know if the new QX60 receives over-the-air updates, or do you have to visit the dealership?

They are capable of receiving "over the air updates". Mine updated roughly 2 months after purchasing the vehicle.

Haven’t had any issues with ours since we got it a couple weeks ago. That’s very odd though. Make sure you keep pressing the dealership about it though, try to record it next time it happens. But I have heard of the screen freezing or being unresponsive before. Not the same issue but all relating to the center console screen. I know it must suck— this seems like a pain to deal with, especially on a brand new vehicle. I’ve heard there’s a way to turn the screen on and off without shutting the car off— but I have no idea how. Maybe that might help?

I had the center console issue on my 2022 QX60 Sensory occur twice back in January (took delivery in December) and my delivery person told me to hold down the audio power button til it reset (like 10-20 seconds). He also mentioned that they could likely fix it with a firmware update. This AM when I powered up, I got a msg from the console that an over the air update was ready. It asked me to go to Wi-Fi to download the update, so I did and it downloaded and installed the update. I don’t know what the update fixed, but am just now gettting home to try to google/find it. Hope that helps someone.

I've had too many issues with my 2017QX including engine failure at 4 years requiring a new engine. Getting rid of it now as it's been a lemon. Agree with video recording all issues on a phone and sending to the dealer as I've had many wasted trips where the problem did not show up on their diagnostics. Most recently my car shut down mid drive and refused to restart for 15 minutes.
Would get rid of it within warranty period or buy an extended warranty if you plan to keep it.
Also lookup youtube for getting into hidden self diagnostic mode. (Hit settings, then seek>> three times, then press and hold touchscreen just below arrow.) when you have an issue

Scouring the internet to see what issues are being reported. We have had speakers with popping sound (replaced still makes sound), infotainment screen lock ups, batter already replaced, carplay not connecting, smart key issues. Dealership has been great but starting to regret buying. We actually have Infiniti Consumer Affairs involved now. Car goes in Monday so they can investigate. Will post update but Consumer Affairs said it could take 10 days or more.

Update: QX is still with dealer. Infiniti has involved what they call a DTS Dealer Technical Specialist. So far they can’t figure it out. The speakers popping they have acknowledged and sent to higher level engineers. The screen issues: they asked for the videos we captured and our phone info. Was hoping to at least get it back so we don’t have to drive a loaner but they still want to keep it.

Issues since I got the car. Only connects to Apple car play via WiFi - so then I can’t access anything which needs WiFi (Waze, pandora). Volume on phone super weird- ringing oddly loud. Now screen intermittently goes black and occasionally the back up camera doesn’t work. Keyless entry is a joke- will lock as I’m opening the car so the door gets stuck. Won’t open u less I use the button on key fob. Brought in twice to dealer. They can’t fix it. Updated software to no avail. Not sure how I’ll manage for 3.5 more years on this pricey lease. I miss my 2018 qx60

Seems to have a ton of tech-problems compared to their JX35 launch in 2013. It's too bad they didn't bake out these issues before dumping them to customers. It only drives down customer confidence.

I am curious to know how your problem was resolved or if it was resolved at all? I purchased my Sensory on the 8th of MARCH (5 Months Ago) and reported issues 6 days later. My issues started out with phone connectivity problems. After several visits, phone calls and text messages to the the dealership they brought in a TSM and a DTSM to research and repair and their focusing was the AV Unit as the problem. the AV Unit was replaced just 2 weeks ago and now I am having connectivity issues with the InTouch Services. The Points of Interest (POI) are not working while "Online" with InTouch Services. While Online I get the error message "communication to the center has failed" "Would you like to continue with Offline Search" if you choose yes, the POI will populate preloaded information. The dealership simply turned the Online feature OFF and returned the vehicle to me as if they has repaired the issue. I spoke to someone with InTouch Services who told me the Telematics Communication Unit (TCU) controls the features for the InTouch Services and the TCU has to communicate with the AV Unit, if there is a problem with the AV Unit it will not communicate with the TCU to make the features work properly. The dealership has now called to tell me they need to replace the AV Unit AGAIN because there apparently was an interruption with the download of the software to the 1st AV Unit they replaced. I think the average consumer hasn't used or "played" with all the options this vehicle has to offer to know that some functions may not even work. Would love to hear more about your outcome.

It is, unfortunately, not odd at all. These electrical issues have been happening since 2016. I was unaware of this when I purchased my 2021 QX50 Sensory model. We had the same problems and more for eight months. The dealership, of course, said oh no, nothing like that had occurred before. We leased a 22 QX50 Sensory, and a week later, the same things started happening. This continued until April when Infiniti consumer affairs said to take it to another Infiniti dealership for a second opinion. They replaced my entire A/V unit per Infiniti Corp. It worked for three months and started over again; Infiniti had the A/V unit replaced again in September. This time it only took a few weeks for the issues to start happening again. I went back to consumer affairs again, and they finally decided to repurchase it and reimburse us for our payments. After we signed the agreement, they claimed there was a glitch in their system and sent a new repurchase agreement that would compensate us nothing. So now we are forced to continue paying for a car we do not drive as we work with a lawyer. Also, none of the repairs addressed any of the issues with the sensors going off all the time for no reason because there is no way to recreate the problems. So not only do the internal systems not function properly, but it is also unsafe to drive because the sensors misinterpret the information; the safety braking system can engage when it is not needed causing an accident. So be very wary of Infiniti because after exhaustive research, this is not a new issue, and they still have not addressed it but are still openly selling these vehicles.

No electrical issues on my end, although I would experience glitches with my multimedia unit. It was more pronounced the first 1k miles or so on my 20222 autograph, and hasn’t been doing it as much since. But when using Apple car play, the unit would sometimes randomly enter into the camera viewing mode when slowing down or stopped at a light. There were a few times that it froze and restarted itself or eventually caught up to what it was tasked with, when using car play and the vehicles native mapping software at the same time.

So far, it seems like it has worked itself out of whatever bugs it was encountering, and there was a recent OTA update last week that hopefully will help.

i experienced similar initial media head unit glitches in my other Nissan product and they ultimately just worked themselves out within the first few thousand miles of ownership. (Shrugs)

i just looked this up and saw the issues. Picked up an Autograph and thought it was a well made car compared to my X5. Third day, can’t control volume. Not the steering wheel or radio control knob. I guess I should’ve stayed with BMW and got another X5. I thought it would be silly having 2 X5 but now I know it’s silly to get any Infiniti. I tried to google how to reset computer like a real car X5 and nothing comes up. Anybody know how to do it? My X5 I had to hold the audio button for 30 second. i don’t know I keep getting Infiniti SUV. I’m a glutton for punishmen.

Wow. So many issues with the new vehicle and I was wondering if you had the issue resolved? I was looking to purchase a QX60 but now I am having second thoughts.

We have a 2023 Autograph AWD. We had two issues that I believe were related. The main screen went blank one time at about 2500 miles (came back on when car was turned off and back on). A more consistent problem showed up around 3,000 miles. The electronic screen above the steering wheel wouldn't retain memory on my preference for the meter display type (I prefer the round tach and speedometer) and every time the car was restarted the cumulative gas mileage (Reset 1, Reset 2 and Auto / Refuel) would reset to zero. Given some of the pervasive "black screen and electronics issues people have posted here, I was very worried that our problems might prove difficult to find / fix.

However, dealership was great. They provided us a loaner car while they attempted to locate the problem. Early on they decided to get Infinity Corporate "techline" involved and a couple days later they had found and fixed the problem. They claimed to have found a loose fuse. I was a little skeptical, but we've driven about 500 miles more since getting it back without any problems.

Purchased sensory in August ‘22. First month was ok (although clock was always off on startup and took 5 min to correct itself). Then trunk wouldn’t close. Then doors wouldn’t lock with outside button. Then doors wouldn’t unlock from outside. Then park wouldn’t engage (which I found out the hard way when I stepped out of the car and it continued to roll). CarPlay doesn’t always work. Auto highbeam feature won’t always turn on. Messages of update failures appearing on console screen. It’s been in the shop a 8 time now (total of 6 weeks). My least favorite feature is how the panel lights are basically OFF whenever headlights go on. It’s so dim that I can basically not see a thing on the panel at all, especially during early evening / late afternoon. And there’s absolutely no way to make the bottom panel brighter. (Can only change brightness of screen). Who designs this nonsense??

when you click the day/night button on center console a brightness bar will show up on the screen for few seconds, it has +/- and you can use it to increase the brightness of the center console and infotainment screen. It works well and I have it in the middle since its too bright at night( my car production date is Feb, 2023).

Hi - we purchased our 2022 in March and I’ve had ongoing problems ever since. Screen went black once, volume doesn’t respond at times, the a/c system had to be entirely replaced because it would lock up and wouldn’t change fan or temperature. Many visits to the dealership and finally was told to call consumer affairs. They were without fail the most unpleasant experience I have ever had in customer service. Car still has issues - most recently the screen was unresponsive, remote start would t work and programmed garage door opener wouldn’t work. In discussions now to hopefully have Infiniti replace the car, as they have admitted these are known issues with the brain of car but have no suggestions of how to remedy. Hope your experience got better!

2023 Sensory still has lots of issues here still. Sometimes the console goes black. Sometimes the audio stops working. Lots of rattling now too, like things have started to loosen with time (6000 km only). The newest (and extremely frustrating one) is the blowers for the vents won't work. I live in Ottawa. It's winter. I get ice on the outside of the windshield and that super annoying interior frost when it's really cold. Anyone who's driven in cold climates knows what I'm talking about. Having to pull over, turn the car off and on again is just not acceptable. There are a lot more little things that bother me about this car too. It looks nice and has great features, but for the price I expected better. I consider mine a bit of a lemon.

I live in Connecticut. I could not get my doors to open one morning and the service guy asked if I was somewhere very cold. I screenshot the weather app showing it was 50F. But if a car build for northeast drivers can’t handle northeast weather, W. T. F. ??? After only having the car for 7 months of non stop issues (I think my car was in the shop for 6 weeks total) and Infiniti refusing to admit it was a lemon, we got rid of it. Significant loss but I could not deal with it anymore. The final straw was the doors not unlocking (this happened multiple times, including in the dark - hello, safety issue)) while I was standing in the pouring rain - service guy suggested I was not standing in correct spot for sensors to read the key, I was opening door too fast, or it was the rain. ?!?!? Such complete nonsense.

Purchased a 2023 QX 60 in April. Took a trip to Chicago last week, car sat in brother in laws driveway for 2 days. Started it up and screen was black, no response with any button. Finally disconnected the battery and it all came back. But now, every once in a while, when we stop at a light, the parking aid and cameras come on, and then go back off. Haven't been able to catch it on video yet, but very concerning it is going to stop one day at the wrong time. Haven't contacted dealer yet, but going to. So the problem is not solved and continues into 2023.

Because these new cars are under warranty why wouldn’t you take to the dealer immediately? Sometimes if you try to make mechanical fixes on your own you void the warranties too. My screen went black once a year ago and my son found a link using Google that gave simple steps to just reset the screen with a few button clicks. The dealer would know these steps too and I can’t remember exactly the steps. It worked fine and I never had the issue again.
