Hi,

I am in the market for 2015 QX60 AWD in S.Cali. It seems that they are being heavily discounted. The one I am looking at right now has the Premium, and Premium Plus package. The initial dealer offer is about $5400 off of the MSRP of $50,500. Do I have more room to negotiate. I really would like to add Theater package as well which brings the MSRP to $50,985. Any help with pricing is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ray

What you should try to do is get quotes from multiple dealers and get them to bid for your purchase, chances are that could be your best strategy or something to combine with negotiating that best bid even lower.

Or, you could find a dealer/salesperson who actually knows the car well and can make sure your purchase goes smoothly now, tomorrow and next month. They listen to your questions, know the technology, can explain finance/lease options, and don't waste your time. Then politely ask him or her to match (or get really close to) the price you were offered by the salesperson who thought Cruise Control was a new movement to make sure we never have another Mission Impossible or Minority Report movie.

But if EVERY LAST PENNY matters to you, go get the cheapest deal.

I just bought a white FWD 2015 premium, premium plus, drivers assistance for 43800 sticker was 51000. It took a lot of negotiating....more than I've had to do in the past. I've seen others post slightly better deals, but am happy with it. Good luck!

Sumanth, would you be able to share the dealership details?

I have a below deal on hand in MD area:
2015 AWD QX60 with Premium, Premium Plus and Driver Assist packages for $47300 (on the road price for NJ).

So that's about invoice - I think there is still room from my research.

Oh I thought that was just the price of the vehicle - that's pretty close then.

I just paid 45K even and thought that was a pretty good deal. Black with Java premium, premium plus, Drivers assist and IKP. They had to have it shipped from UT to WA for $850 (dealer covered the cost) since they didn't have it on their lot. Also got a 2nd year of service thrown in free as well (~$150 value?). This being so, if they have what you want on the lot, you should be able to get for about 44k

Paid $52K for Silver Qx60 AWD with Deluxe Touring package and Technology package. I think it has ALL the options offered :D. (MSRP was $58K - started negotiation at $54k, settled on $52K).

I also got the 8yr warranty and 8yr prepaid maintenance. I must be a dealership's dream customer, lol.

Monthly lease payment should come down more if you are willing to put multiple security deposits (MSD). If you don't know about MSDs then I would suggest you to read about it first and then contact your dealer.

Good luck!

Is $47,200 a good deal for AWD with Premium, Premium Plus, and Drivers Assistance package? This is out the door price. Please let me know. I'm ready to do the deal. Thanks!

Go to True Car (https://www.truecar.com), pick new QX60, enter your zip code, pick the exterior/interior color, then choose build your own and configure the vehicle with the options on the car you're interested in, and see where the price you were quoted falls on the bell curve in your area.

For example, in my zip, there are 3 dealers who will sell that configured vehicle for $45,213, which is the lower left of the price bell curve. The average paid is $47,975. Use the true car best price to negotiate, see if they will match or beat it. Don't play games, be professional and be straight with the salesman -- Dealer X will sell this vehicle for $XX,XXX, can you beat their price? Maybe they will match the price, but throw in all weather floor mats/or splash guards.

If yes, sign the contract. If no, be ready to walk and contact the dealer who offers that price. I do recommend you go today (Saturday -- end of the week/end of the month), if you want the best chance of getting a good deal.

My 2 cents

2015 price

My dealer is willing to give about $8100 off from the stick for 2015 qx60 with Premium plus package ($50800). It this a good price since it is 2015 car?

Very cool website - it came up with a "TrueCar" price that is within a $100 of the KBB.com price I used and ultimately paid. Nice to do a cross check on these things. :)
