Has anyone heard/know of any issues re: sway bar link bushings going bad? I have a 2014 qx60 with about 6k miles and the dealer is taking care of it, but... thanks

ya, it happens but this seems excessive for 6k miles.
Thank you Thorin78. Service Managers response was probably due to the severe cold snap we've been having here in the north east. much appreciated!
How did you know they were bad? What clued you in?

I have an appointment here in Ontario with the dealer next week. My car creaks like crazy, especially going over speed bumps. No matter how slow I drive when both wheels go over a speed bump there is a deafening creaking sound. It started about two months ago, but has progressively gotten worse.

I'm concerned that the dealer will say this is normal due to the cold weather. Under what conditions did your car make this sound?
My QX has 13,000 kms at this time by the way.

Thank you
Rooster, it was what they told my wife when she brought the car in. We just complained there was a squeak of sort when going over a rolling bump like a speed bump or driveway, similar to what canqx60 posted as well. sound comes from front end driver side.

Its been noticeable during the cold temps, but really my wife is the primary driver so who knows how long its been going on for. lol I noticed it being very pronounced these past couple of days as I have been driving it more during the snow.

p.s. it's still making the same noise and I have another appt. next week. and this time I'm bringing it in and road testing it with them.
Hey CanQX60
if the blame the weather then ask them why other vehicle don't make that noise.
sway bar links & busings had to be replace if they make noise

Took my car in yesterday. I went 30 minutes early as the dealer is in another city. I drove around looking for speed bumps near the dealer so that during the test drive I could suggest for the tech to go there. Couldn't find a speed bump anywhere near by. Even used Siri to find schools near by, I went to two scholls and no speed bumps in the area. Finally I found a driveway that caused that creaking sound when I drove up it.
I went along for the test drive and offcourse they couldn't repeat the the creak, I suggested that he try the driveway that I tried earlier. Sure enough it made a loud creak. They diagnosed it to bad sway bar bushings. New parts are on order.
I did used that line during the test drive that my other cars aren't making that sound the the cold. The tech was actually pretty good. Once he heard the creak he took the car and put it up on the hoist.
Let's see if the new bushings help.

Cheers

Finally had the bushings replaced. There was a small delay by the dealer in obtaining the parts.
The overall dealer experience was excellent.
I also have an ACURA that needed warranty work several years ago. I have to say that the Infiniti experience was far superior to ACURA. This was the main reason for switching to Infiniti.
The dealership (Guelph Infiniti Nissan) that did the warranty work is not where I purcahed the car, but we were treated very well.
The car was promised to be completed on a Thursday and it wasn't. The dealerhip had no problem in allowing the use of their loaner vehicle QX50 for the duration of the long weekend.
In addition they did a complimentary oil change and wash.

The ACURA dealership made excuses the last couple of times that they ran out of time and didn't wash the car, but I could bring it back any time for a free wash, just call ahead. ACURA doesn't value their customers.

So far very impressed with Infiniti customer service. Way to go JEN and CINDY at Guelph Infiniti Nissan.

Did changing the bushings fix the issue?
Did changing the bushings fix the issue?
Since the bushings were replaced, I haven't noticed any other squeaks/groans etc. Although my issues were only present during the -20 deg C. and lower temperatures.
Since the repairs I haven't seen those low temps. I'll have to wait until next winter to see if it returns.
