2015 QX60 @29k miles. New Tires?

I have a 2015 QX60 that has been very gently used and have just hit 29k miles. About a month ago when I was at the dealership for an oil change, they said I needed new tires and they just so happened to have a sale going on. I can't believe that I would need tires at less than 29k miles. I only drive city roads. No severe weather, no snow. What other factors could I be missing here besides the fact they wanted to sell me tires? No proof of why I needed tires was offered, by the way.

When should the original factory tires expect to be changed (on average)?

I got 45K out of my original equipment tires. (20 inch Bridgestone Dueler tires).

Are the wear indicator bars showing on the tires, or are they bald or scalloped on the edges. Do they make a lot of noise at speed, or does you steering wheel vibrate. If yes, then you need new tires.

The best way to prevent premature wear is to get your car aligned every 15 to 20K miles, and to make sure they are properly inflated at all times.
