Gas tank door

Hello all,

My wife recently took her car the self serve car wash and the gas tank door was unlocked. With the pressure washer it became loose. How/can this be fixed? It no longer locks and makes a funny sound when locking the doors. Any suggestions or DIY? Thanks

Check the little tab that holds it shut. It may have gotten slightly bent. It is fairly easy to bend it back into place - just be gentle.

wow, thanks for this! I actually started having these problems lately and realized now before the self car wash, kids walk around and check for windows, wipers and click things like my gas tank door which clearly is the reason why its so loose now a days.
