QX60 headlights rated Poor by IIHS

Well there you have it. IIHS has confirmed what many people have talked for the past few years. The headlights aren't bright enough or focused enough. Granted, only 2 of 37 SUVs rated were good.

Most midsize SUV headlights are marginal or poor

I had the JX and thought the headlights were good and better than on my previous vehicles. I have the 2016 QX60 and feel the head lights and fog lights are superior to the previous model. I live in a rural wooded area and like how effective the headlights are. I have no complaints.

Funny, we went from the Volvo XC60 to our current 2017. So far they seem to be similar. Is it possible to install a brighter HID bulb without damaging the housing?

I thought that the headlights on my 2014 QX60 were not good. The consensus was that it was equipped with projectors. Does anyone have experience with a both the pre-refresh and post-refresh headlights? Is the post-refresh any better?
